I recently received the @ybcosmetics’ newest lipstick from their Spring collection. It’s a gorgeous redish, orangey shade called Tangelo. Right when I saw the color, I knew I had to try it. The lipstick is described to be sheer but buildable and this is very true. Below are swatches of the super spring-appropriate color! (p.s. please don’t mind my unfinished face and brows 🙂 )

I prepped my lips by scrubbing them then applying coconut oil and letting it absorb as I applied the rest of my makeup. I, then, dabbed a smidge of concealer on my lips and around the lip line to cancel out any redness and to create a canvas for the lipstick. After I got the color to where I wanted it to be, I applied a bit more concealer around the lip line with a tiny brush to create clean crisp lines. Because I didn’t have a lip liner that matched this lipstick nor did I want to throw off the true color of the lipstick, the concealer really helped keep the lipstick on my lips while also staying in the lines without bleeding out throughout the day.

If you’re as obsessed with bright, bold lip colors like I am, I definitely suggest giving Tangelo a try. It’s so different and it might take a second to get used to since orange isn’t the typical lip color. DON’T be put off by the bright bullet though, as you can see from my photos, its really not overwhelmingly bright as long as you don’t apply too many layers. You can pick it up and add it to your spring wardrobe through their website and other retailers 🙂
