So let’s just jump right in to it, last Friday there was an official Sneaker release party for Puma that went down in Brooklyn’s own Rime NYC! The party was for Puma’s new golden wedge sneaker for all the ladies out there, and I must say they are a really beautiful sneaker.
The party was great, the music was perfect and everybody was partying and having a good time. They even had a table where you can get your nails done for the ladies of course. Excellent event I must say oh and I can’t forget the free drinks all night!
Our good friends over at Rime NYC have been in the lab with Puma creating absolute golden perfection. The colorway says it all: Gold Foil and Vanilla. Absolutely delicious design, the Puma x Rime Women’s Sky Wedge Lux combines classic luxury and athletic styles. The golden foil leather is met perfectly with a gum sole. Look closely at the inner workings of the shoe, and you will see a creamy vanilla zig-zag pattern (via http://extrabutterny.com)

Reebok Classic’s partnership and design collaboration with Alicia Keys continues with the introduction of new seasonal Reebok Classic X Alicia Keys collections for 2013. The collaboration sees exclusive limited edition lines featuring iconic Classic silhouettes which have been given Alicia’s unique creative touch. Alicia has been a long-term fan of Reebok since her days wearing the Freestyle Hi, known to her as the 54’11 as they cost 54 dollars and 11 cents, as a teenager in NYC.
Alicia draws inspiration from various aspects of her life when working on her collections for Reebok Classic, from her love of street culture to her glamorous on-stage experiences and her eclectic style influences. Working collaboratively with the Reebok Classic design team gives Alicia the opportunity to express her creative talent in the art-form of fashion. Alicia says, “The Freestyle has always been a part of my style—so I’m really excited to give it even more of an edge,” said Keys. “I’m feeling deeply inspired this year with the new album, tour, and everything that’s going on in my life. Creativity is limitless in its possibilities and I love that I get to express myself in a whole new artistic way through the design of these collections.”

This season sees Alicia taking her favorite Classic silhouette to new heights as she re-introduces the iconic Freestyle silhouette and pairs it with a stylish hidden wedge heel to create the Freestyle Hi Wedge A.Keys . Alicia’s twist on the Freestyle pays homage to its Classic heritage while incorporating a fashion forward element. Alicia has stayed true to the DNA of the Freestyle product, with characteristic double straps, 3 iconic collar puffs and Freestyle heel counters, but has updated it with an on-trend twist.
The Reebok Classic X Alicia Keys Spring/Summer 2013 collection will be introduced on April 1st with two on-trend packs; the Chi Street Pack which features bright, sporty color blocking, candy pop color explosions of neon pink and bright yellow with a real sport luxe feel, and the Classic Iridescent Pack which draws inspiration from Alicia’s stage life and features a bold all over red Freestyle Hi Wedge, paying homage to one of the most sought after original Freestyles, as well as additional styles featuring tonal gloss python prints, neon color pops and iridescent accents.
