    Wedding-Ready at the Dulhan Expo!

My sister’s wedding is coming up, and being that it’s a traditional Indian affair, my mom, sister, and I visited the Dulhan Expo at the Hyatt Long Island yesterday!

Dulhan Expo is a series of Bridal Expositions designed to keep the modern South Asian Bride in mind. It provides the modern day bride with advanced wedding planning venues, saving them months worth of legwork by bringing wedding service providers from all different categories under one roof.

Everything from jewelry, henna, and hair & makeup, to stage decoration, centerpieces, floral arrangements, photography and videography, and catering was available for trial and review, along with some special event discounts for Expo attendees! Some companies featured at the event were Makeup by Naz Beauty, Suhaag Photography, Indian Clothing by Izaya Designs, Fern & Décor Stage Decoration, and Clothing & Jewelry by Luxemi.com.

Of course, the event is mainly intended for Indian/South Asian brides, but any bride-to-be is sure to find amazing wedding planners and service providers at this event.

    Wedding Invitations

Wedding invites are such a big deal. My sister has her fall wedding coming up so this is a big part of the planning we have yet to discuss. How much do you know about wedding invitations? This is the announcement that tells the world of your love and your happy news. It also represents the kind of relationship you have, the wedding style and sets the tone. They can range from something colorful, classy, design heavy or not. Here are some from David’s Bridal that I love.

    I totally want a destination wedding… 🙂
