Signature Fish Tacos: Grilled Pineapple & Jicama Slaw, Avocado, Smoked Chili Sauce
Some friends and I recently had dinner at Hunters Landing, and although this wasn’t my first dining experience (sshhhh I invite everyone there, because it’s my new favourite place, and it’s close to home!) anyway, although this wasn’t my first dining experience at Hunters Landing and I know what to except, I’m always blown away by how good the food is, and how awesome the service is… always. I love the vibe in there; I feel right at home, and did I mention that the food is great?!
Classica: Fresh Mozzarella, Balsamic Syrup, Tomatoes, Basil
Mussels: Albarino Tomato Broth, House-Cured Bacon, Baby Kale, Focaccia
Soup of the day- all I can say is that it was butternut squash heaven!
Ale Brisket Sliders: Horseradish-Spiked Slaw, Brioche Bun
Whether you’re looking to just relax over a glass of wine, or maybe you’re looking to have a girls/boys night out, or if you’re just looking to go somewhere with an awesome vibe and some good food, Hunters Landing is it! Have you been? You should go! What should you have? The Signature Fish Tacos are sooooo good, the Classica Pizza is amazing (looove that balsamic syrup), the calamari is delicious, and I hear that the Landing wings and the Ale Brisket Sliders are the booooooomb! You’re welcome 🙂

Event LOVE: Private Dinner @MichaelsOnSimcoe #michaelseoe
***DISCLAIMER*** You’re going to need a bib, a napkin, maybe even a towel before, during and after this, because it’s about to get real tasty around here!!
We were invited to attend the media launch of Michael’s on Simcoe, a modern Italian Steakhouse that playfully combines the best in contemporary cuisine, located in the heart of the Financial and Entertainment Districts of downtown Toronto . I didn’t understand what they meant when they said that it was Toronto’s best kept secret, but by the time I had a bite of my first appetizer, I knew exactly why!
They promised us an evening of elegance and I can honestly say that they delivered on that promise and more! The event was supposed to start at 7:30pm, but they decided to spoil us even more and invited select media to a private dinner hosted by Moët & Chandon before the actual dinner! I can’t describe how fast I got dressed just so I could get there already.
We were greeted with a tall, crisp glass of champagne and then led to the bar area where we were showered (yes that’s what it felt like)… we were showered with all kinds of delicious appetizers and of course more champagne. We hadn’t even sat down at the table and I was already getting full, but I wore a loose dress just so I could taste and savour everything that they had to offer! So now, enough talking. Sit back, relax (don’t forget your bib, if you haven’t started drooling already 🙂 ) and enjoy!
…when you have to take a #selfie because you need to show much you’re really enjoying the food, but you’re so full and you won’t stop, and even though you’re not smiling, your eyes show just how HAPPY you are! Yes. 
There was so much wine throughout the evening, and not one empty glass!

So what are my thoughts on Michael’s On Simcoe? I think I’ve already made it pretty clear that the food was fantastic! If I were to give my overall experience a rating out of 10, I would give them a 10. The wines were perfectly paired throughout our meal, and the staff? The staff took service to a whole new level, they knew the menu and their wines inside out, they were super attentive, friendly without being invasive, and accommodated every single request. Top notch service. Would I recommend it? Well if I have to recommend it after these pictures then I’m not sure you deserve all that goodness! I kid, Of Course you should go. You have to go.
