    Wheel Food Wednesdays in Pasadena

Went to @wheelfood wednesday last night with a couple friends. Jones Coffee Roasters in Pasadena, CA and The Sweets Truck has been having these weekly food truck nights featuring a bunch of different food trucks of LA.

Just wanted to share with you some of the trucks that were there 🙂

Trucks vary every week. The Grilled Cheese Truck and Nom Nom happen to be two of my favorites! There’s only a few more weeks left for Wheel Food Wednesdays! Make sure you go early though if you go. Lines can be killer but definitely worth the yummy food 🙂 Check out the flyer at the top for more info!

    Pasadena Rosebowl

The 2nd Sunday of every month is an exciting time to be in LA!

Here is my ticket – $8

There are numerous flea markets in Los Angeles and treasure hunting is one of the best things you can do if you are an avid shopper. Sometimes the proliferation of chain stores can make you feel like its deja vu every single mall you enter. So this is absolutely refreshing and a great date venture too!

These are pitcher plants, they catch flies!

You can really test the patience of your date. I went there last week with one mission in mind. A leather duffel bag for travel.  Along the way I found a lot of interesting goods.

    These toy dogs are freaky

    accessories for days

As you know, I went to Pasadena Rosebowl with my dad when he came to visit in April… So 2nd time round, there were some repeat vendors but all in all – a great way to look into the past so we can confidently stride into the future.

I realized a few things.. that the past matters just as much as the future does and I got inspiration and ideas for my make up line. (I am working on that always!) But I walked home with what I came for. Woohoo!

    PCC Flea Market

Every first Sunday of the month, the Pasadena City College has a huge flea market with over 450 vendors. They are spread through out the parking lot, and even in the underground parking garage. They have a lot of antiques, vintage and assorted knick knacks. Some would say trash, some would say treasures. For me, I love things with stories and meanings. How often do we keep nostalgic items like faded movie tickets or that one necklace or old belt you just love. Going to a place like this made me think about consumerism and how many things we go through in life. To buy, to have, to discard. Such is life.

    LP’s vs. Mp3’s
