    Collection notes:

“The main inspiration of the brand came from the single ebony wood mask named Nostalgia. That is our main source of inspiration. Its minimalism, its meaning and its aesthetic is what developed our entire collection. Nostalgia is also the first piece of art that we ever made.”

    About the brand:

Denibi is a fashion house born and based in Barcelona. We specialize in high quality leather goods, ready-to-wear, and furniture inspired by the city of Barcelona, the essence of traveling, African heritage and minimalism.

The name “Denibi” symbolizes a utopia for creatives. An island never damaged or influenced by any negative foreign interference. Where creatives are able to push themselves to the fullest of their artistic abilities in the comfort of like minds and limitless possibility.  That concept is what we know today as the future. Denibi has been preparing the future for years to bring fine taste and minimalism through design. The architecture and aesthetic of the island is represented through the many tones of pastel colors and whites throughout each collection.

Rainproof Ponchos for Luxury Handbags by My Dear Rain

The rainy day essential accessory for your handbag, My Dear Rain made their NYFW debut this week as part of FTL MODA’s runway spectacular. My Dear Rain accompanied six international designers at the historic Angel Orensanz Foundation for a compelling intermission presentation.

The designer, Daniela Ramirez was inspired to create this line of waterproof handbag protectors after a vacation to the Gold Coast went a little wetter than expected. When rain unleashed in this always-sunny destination, Ramirez was forced to use her designer handbag as shelter whilst dashing to her cab. Even with the assistance of an umbrella, women are forced to leave their valuable handbags unshielded from the storm. My Dear Rain’s waterproof handbag ponchos were fashioned to safeguard and prolong the life of handbags of any size and price tag.

Guests were transported this NYFW to a stormy setting for intermission at FTL MODA’s FW 2016 Runway. Haunting sounds of rolling thunder and torrential rain engulfed the space. Attendees were mesmerized as all eyes drew to the five models who paraded out to the main runway soaked from head to toe. With trickling eye makeup and terrorized umbrellas in tow, each model carried her handbag safely under a My Dear Rain poncho.

FTL MODA’s organizer referred to My Dean Rain’s presentation as the highlight of the show for many of the guests. Standout feedback also came from the producers at Fashion Week Online and reporters at People Magazine.

Nail Trends with Sally Hansen x DKNY

Sally Hansen is excited to be the exclusive nail partner for DKNY and to create the nail looks for the Fall 2016 fashion show during New York Fashion Week. “We wanted a playful look that mixes it up with a graphic design and tones from the 90’s,” explained Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, DKNY Creative Directors.

    THE INSPIRATION

“When I think of DKNY, I think of the cool inspiration of the 90’s, the color palette of black, gray, white, neutrals, and strong graphic shapes. I knew the nails needed to feel equally sharp. The girls each have their own personality, a variety of hair styles and thus, a variety of nail styles as well. Using two colors, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Dark Hue-mor, a deep navy and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Commander in Chic, a muddy gray-purple, we created four different nail looks which will be randomly applied to the girls backstage. Every girl will have a unique combination of flare.” – Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador

Plus, with a built-in base and top coat, it’s all you need to achieve a professional manicure at home.
