Officially the first day today, fashioninstas will not be stopped by snow, ice and sleet. The presentation was at Sun West Studios and with beauty by Aveda and Mac Cosmetics – Everything came together seamlessly. Congratulations on an amazing collection Ann!

About the Designer: Stemming from a desire for unique clothing and inspiration garnered during trips to her parents’ native Hong Kong, Ann Yee’s distinctive wardrobe combinations set her apart at a young age.
Originally from South Lyon Michigan, Ann Yee interned with American designer Jill Stuart and, in London, with acclaimed independent designer Ebru Ercon while receiving her B.S. in Fashion Design from Philadelphia University. Yee moved on to New York to design knitwear for prestigious
labels such as Barney’s, LaROK, Elizabeth and James, Alice + Olivia, and played an integral part in the launch of contemporary knitwear label, DUFFY. Working with knits only bolstered her innate understanding of the constitution of fabric and the subtle art of draping.
With her customizable pieces and signature affinity for proportion and volume, Ann Yee consistently creates collections that are versatile yet completely distinct.

@LEVIS Fall 2012 Global Collection Preview
New York Fashion Week had a treat when The Levi’s® brand launched its first ever global collection last Wednesday, at SoHo’s landmark Mercer 82 event space.
During the event The Levi’s® brand showcased the key looks from its Fall/Winter 2012 collection – a hybrid between custom-made vignettes featuring pinnacle products from the line and a runway show.
“Levi’s® has always been about embracing the energy and events of our time. Today, fashion is more democratic and accessible than ever, making New York Fashion Week the perfect moment in time for the Levi’s® brand to launch our first global collection,” said Len Peltier, Global Vice President of Creative Direction.
The collection is based on a more refined and tailored look for both men and women. Its inspiration is drawn from craftsmanship, honesty and authenticity – “honoring tradition while defying convention, redefining the norm and re-crafting and re-creating iconic Levi’s® styles.”
THE COLLECTION
Steeped in the authenticity and craftsmanship that the brand is known for, the collection is built around classic and refined styles with sharp clean aesthetics, which have been tailored to perfection.
The key trend for men this season is the tapered look, for a great flattering fit that sits just below the waist, is slouchy on the top and has a slim tailored leg.
For women, the key look for the season is the Bootcut Skinny, which the Levi’s® brand has completely reinvented. No longer your mother’s bootcut denim, this season will see the launch of this new take on a classic – a sexy, modern skinny fit making you forever think differently about the bootcut.

‘Love Story’ Styles with @CarlosCamposNYC
Fashion designer Carlos Campos just had his fall/winter 2012 collection last Sunday.
A New York-based fashion designer born in Honduras has shown a different approach to the runway. His collection was inspired by an old love story, written by Gabriel García Márquez, “Love in the Time of Cholera.” It is a story of a man in a park who spends 50 years on a bench waiting for his true love.
Colors of burgundy and red rose, camel brown, dark navy, and sepia perfect the story of the book he gives credit to. The floral prints, detailed pockets, distinctive patterns, and the assortment of colors will let you create a unique style of your own. The different colors blend well to mix and match. Finishing up some of his looks included outerwear that ranged from wool, cashmere, and cotton-silk.

Last Wednesday Hyden Yoo had his fall 2012 Presentation. If you were lucky enough to be at The Hudson Library at 3pm you were able to catch a glimpse of his stylish collection.
Yoo “draws inspiration from a classic tale of the unattainable woman and the man that pines for her.” A New York based fashion designer that offers looks for both men and women, Yoo has taken his style to a new kind of modern.
He takes the look of both Wall Street bankers and Brooklyn hipsters to create one final dramatic piece.
