SomaSole Fitness Bundle (workout anywhere, anytime)

The makers of the popular SomaSole fitness program have announced their latest project – Finesse Fitness, a new line of portable, total body workout bundles housed in either a custom-designed backpack or duffel. Built to fit anyone’s lifestyle or fitness level, the bundles consist of meticulously designed equipment created with high-quality and durable materials.

To provide the full workout experience, Finesse Fitness bundles come with a mobile app platform where users can download or stream workouts, connect with their trainer, plan workouts, and give and receive support from the community. The app is free to use with advanced features available for $6.99/month. All Kickstarter rewards will include at least one month of Premium content access for free.

For trainers, Finesse Fitness offers access to its mobile app platform to build instructional training and workout videos, to connect and interact with clients, to recommend workouts with confidence and to track their clients’ progress.

The equipment within each bundle can be used alone or mix-and-matched to create a completely customized workout system for the user. The systems created can be used for both training and recovery, and help create results in areas such as weight loss, dynamic activation, performance preparation, stretching, pilates and yoga movements, and corrective exercise and rehabilitation.

Exercise Yourself Beautiful

The importance of a workout for fitness and health is not lost on any of us. When it comes to losing weight and keeping it off, or just strengthening our bodies for the daily grind, it is essential to focus on fitness.

 

That said, doing things for the “right reasons” is not an incentive for everyone. Knowing that we should do something, does not always translate into actually doing it – or doing it with any enthusiasm. We know that we should eat right but that alone is sometimes not enough. Let’s face it: advertisers know that. That’s why so many tempting foods are advertised as “guilty pleasures”.

So wrong, but so right…

 

So to strengthen the incentive, is it perhaps a good idea to sometimes we a little less noble? A little more… shallow? This bears some thinking about. Does it matter why you do the right thing, if you still end up doing the right thing? In other words, if you don’t feel motivated to work out for fitness and health alone, why not work out for beauty? It’s not like it’s a bad thing, after all.

 

In any case, once you start doing something and get into a pattern, you see the benefits beyond what first convinced you to begin. So if you want to look better, here are some workout tips that will also have you feeling and looking better.

 

Can Your Workout Improve Your Skin?

 

Now, it is worth noting that working out with a full face of makeup on will diminish any benefits to beauty you get. In fact, you should cleanse your face before working out for maximum benefit. But yes, your workout can be a pivotal part of good skincare.

 

In exercising, you better regulate production of cortisol – the body’s stress hormone. Too much cortisol causes the skin to age, thinning and encouraging blemishes. Not to mention that the best workout supplements have benefits for the skin. As AlgaeCal reviews point out, the supplement provides calcium, which aids healthy skin and regeneration. Remember: always check with a doctor before starting any supplements.

 

So the more you work out and supplement yourself to do so, the less cortisol in your system – and that means your skin will be better than ever.

You will no doubt be picturing a line of people on treadmills, red faced and sweaty. How, you might be wondering, could this ever be good for your hair? Especially as you’ll shower afterwards, and doesn’t that strip the hair of its natural oils?

 

Studies show that, in fact, a vigorous workout can be one of the best things you do for your crowning glory. Far from making hair dirtier for no reason, intense cardio releases toxins. This benefits the release of purer, healthier sebum on the scalp – an oil that stops hair becoming dry and lifeless. As another benefit, exercise stimulates blood flow which can increase the speed at which your hair grows.

 

And Another Thing…

 

Beauty is more than skin deep. We all know how exercise can help the skin and hair now, but it’s fair to say that everyone looks better when they’re smiling. And there, again, exercise has you covered. By working out, you will release endorphins, your body’s natural “happiness hormone”.

 

Just one note of caution. Studies have shown that too much endurance exercise can be bad for your teeth. Avoid sugary energy drinks (just avoid them anyway – they’re not good for you in any way, shape or form) and when working out, try to limit how much you breathe through your mouth. Mouth breathing can dry your palate, which harms teeth, and as a double-protection you should gently brush your teeth after any gym session.

Spinning into Fitness: Cyclebar Henderson

I got to check out the new spin class at Cyclebar Henderson this week in Green Valley! I never been to that part of Vegas so it was a really fun treat! The neighborhood is pretty cool and ‘city like’ unlike the rest of Vegas and there were a lot of great restaurants, shopping and places to walk around.  At the media preview of Cyclebar, we were given a chance to check out their class!
Media guests were treated to fresh squeezed juices, sandwiches and a tour of the place. Cyclebar has a store in the front and offers leggings, tanks, sports bras too!  They have hair ties, bobby pins, gum and lip balm for free 🙂
The clip in cycle shoes allow you to ‘clip’ to the bike pedals and just fly! When you spin, it’s different than riding a bike, you literally just spin and spin and spin. I got the shoes in size 5.5 and my regular shoe size is 6. My friend Zuly, who rides a lot, said you can get a bigger size in case your foot swells during the ride.

I feel like the year has just begun!  Spring break is a U.S. phenomenon and an academic tradition which started during the 1930s in the United States. College students from all around the country travel south to enjoy sunny weather and cold beers! People workout all year around to get their bodies in spring break ready condition. If you are anything like me, you are not one of those people! Easter Brunch Recipe with a Kick

This March, whether you’re making a Mother’s Day Breakfast in Bed or basting an Easter Ham, the month marks the unofficial start of warm weather brunch season. That being said, as much as we love sipping on mimosas, cooking up the perfect brunch can be somewhat of a hassle. Not to worry… with IMUSA’s mouth-watering recipe for Mini Ranchero Eggs, your brunch menu will be one less thing to worry about. Combining jalapeno, cumin and paprika, your brunch and taste buds will get the kick they need!

IMUSA’s Mini Ranchero Eggs

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ medium onion
  • ½ green pepper
  • ½ jalapeno pepper
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground paper
  • 8 large eggs
  • 4 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • Cilantro for garnish

Directions

  1. Make salsa by softening onions, green peppers, and jalapeño peppers in a medium saucepan on medium heat, for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add drained tomatoes, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper and allow to simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Spray some non-stick spray on both sides of a tortilla and place it on your IMUSA EGG PAN on medium-low heat.
  4. Cook the first side of the tortilla for about 3 minutes, flip, and carefully add two eggs on top of the tortilla.
  5. Place two heaping tablespoons of salsa between the two eggs, cover your IMUSA EGG PAN and bring heat to low.
  6. Allow eggs to cook between 3-4 minutes, remove from heat and serve on a plate with chopped cilantro.
