Nom nom Vegetable Fried Rice
I love fried rice, but I hate that oily taste that take-out fried rice has. I was in the mood for a nice plate of vegetable fried rice, so rather than going to my favourite chinese restaurant; I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own fried rice. I only used a teaspoon of sesame oil, and was able to fry all my rice and veggies; and then used a teaspoon of low-sodium soy sauce, because you can’t have fried rice without soy sauce!
All the taste, and half the fat and salt. Win.

Guilt-free Burger LOVE
Not being able to indulge in those mini burgers at the Courvoisier event last Thursday, left me with one hell of a craving for a juicy burger. So I took matters into my own hands, and promptly made myself a MIGHTY and DELICIOUS veggie burger when I got home.
Yes, yummy and meat free, just how I like it!
These guys make a good veggie burger pattie!

Soy Soy GOOD
I love these things. Every time I go to Metro (grocery store), I clear out their shelves. Yeah, they are that good.
I was super hungry, and all I had was some left over coconut curry rice, half a red pepper, some sliced mushrooms, grapes, half a cucumber, and these soy bites. So I put two and two together, and BAM! Pure deliciousness 🙂

Wannabe FRESH
So after my yummy dinner at Fresh on Spadina, I couldn’t stop craving that damn Energy Bowl; so I took matters into my own hands and made something similar. My version included a chickpea & lentil curry, spicy coconut curry rice, cucumber, tomato, red & green peppers, craisins, and tzatziki sauce. YUM.
