Stylish Sips Cocktails at @TheLondonNYC
I was invited to The London Bar at The London NYC hotel last week to try cocktails from their “Stylish Sips” menu. The London NYC was the Preferred Hotel of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, so it was only fitting that they offered a special, runway-inspired cocktail list throughout the month of February.
THE BAR
Even though MBFW had just wrapped up the week before, there was no shortage of chic and fashionable clientele at the sexy, luxurious bar. It’s the type of place where you could bump into a celeb at any moment, but somehow manages to pull off being welcoming and unpretentious. It’s the type of place that’s super swanky, but you can have round after round of perfectly-crafted cocktails, great conversation — and completely lose track of time. The night I went, it was the perfect escape from the work week on a cold night in NYC.THE DRINKS
It was hard for me to choose from the menu, but I decided on the Glamazon and The Red Carpet.
The London Red Carpet
Fresh raspberries, Stoli Vodka, blood orange and lime juices, agave nectar, topped with Thai chili pepper-infused oil
Glamazon ($20)
Pisco 100, Solerno Blood Orange Liquor, Cointreau, St Germain, fresh lime juiceTHE VERDICT
I love the swanky, Sex and the City vibe, great service and perfect drinks. Stylish Sips is over at the end of the month, but The London Bar’s signature cocktails, like The London Bloom and Pink Panther, look incredible and they also have an amazing wine list. This is a must-do for NYC.The London Bar

Event LOVE: Nail Polish HEAVEN! #QuoByOrly @QuoCosmetics @OrlyNails
We were invited to an event, that could called a nail polish and nail art lover’s dream event! Shoppers Drug Mart invited us to an exclusive preview of the Quo by ORLY fall collection, which featured special guests ORLY founder, Jeff Pink and celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyees. And. It. Was. FABULOUS!
We sat attentively as Jeff Pink gave us the juice on ORLY’s new at-home Gel Nail Colours and tools, as well as introduced us to the new Quo by ORLY Smart Gels LED Lamp- the newest way to achieve a professional gel manicure without having to leave the comfort of your home! It’ll be available in mid August at Shoppers Drug Mart, and will retail at $85. Then Kimmie Kyees told us all about she started doing manicures as a little girl for her family and friends, to becoming one of the most sought out celebrity manicurists in Hollywood.
After the presentations were over, we were free to mix and mingle, sip cocktails, snack on tasty hors d’oeuvres, and we even got to get our nails by the amazing manicurists of Pinky’s nails. The best part though? We were given an empty paint tin can, and told to fill it up, then we were given an LED lamp, that we could get customized! It was awesome-sauce!
Where does one start when there’s so much goodness to get into?!
It was a beautiful sunny day, and the view was EVERYTHING!!
There was just so much nail polish I couldn’t contain myself.
Waiting whilst her LED lamp gets personalized.
Kimmie Kyees has done everybody’s nails! From Rihanna to Katy Perry, she’s given them all fabulous manicures!

It’s My Birthday – with @IntoxicatedZ
I’m a Virgo–My birthday was September 11. I know, I know–bad birthday. But, I still always enjoy my day and often have an extended celebration starting from the weekend before.
Of course, I am a true Virgo all year, but this year I also had some paraphernalia and delicious cocktail recipes to go along with my Virgo attitude, thanks to the Intoxicated Zodiac. Gwen Sutherland Kaiser, owner of Intoxicated Zodiac, is a mixologist, specializing in astrology. She creates delicious cocktails with ingredients suited to each sign. Her website has drink recipes, baroscopes and zodiac sign gear.
I first ran into Gwen at the Under the Stars with Susan Miller & Todd English preview event and she was nice enough to send me a couple Virgo items:

Virgo Candle in a Shot Glass
The Virgo Woman
One thing you need to know about a Virgo woman – she has guts and lots of them! It doesn’t mean that she is not as shy and as reserved as she seems to be. It’s just that she can do anything and everything for the people she loves. By love, she means real love, no other type of love exists for her. A Virgo female is a complete woman! She has all the charms and tricks that any other female has, but she is not weak. Infact, she has quite a determination and can do anything if she sets her mind to it.

Refreshing Hawaiian Cocktails from Halekulani
Right about now, I’m starting to itch for a tropical trip. It’s been six months since I was last in Miami and nearly a year since the three months that I spent living in Cancun. I’m going through withdrawal! But I just found out my cousin will be based in Hawaii for his new flight attendant gig, and I am already plotting my trip in which I will be crashing his pad!
In the meanwhile, I’m going to try out these delicious, refreshing cocktail recipes from Halekulani, Waikiki’s legendary beachfront hotel, and wanted to share them with you.
Along with Halekulani’s signature Mai Tai, which was invented and still served at the hotel, these summertime concoctions are available at the award-winning Orchids restaurant, by the pool and of course, while enjoying traditional Hawaiian entertainment at Halekulani’s famed outdoor gathering spot House Without a Key, which is immortalized in a 1925 Charlie Chan novel.
Enjoy!
