My motto is always CUTEST in CHARGE! Guess who is in charge in our household? Jacob of course! Our friends at Canada Pooch sent us the brand spanking new Cozy Caribou Hoodie and we are so in love! As the cooler weather approach, walking your dog everyday is still something we look forward to. But when we pull on scarves and sweaters, don’t forget about your 4-legged friend! Dogs can get colds too and especially if your dog is an indoor dog like Jacob – A sweater is 100% necessary.
What I love about the Canada Pooch products is that they are so WELL MADE. Just by looking at these products, you can tell the thought and knowledge put into designing it. The colors are gender friendly for any dog and they are beautiful and oh so “Canadian” with a Roots appeal.
The tip of the hood is a easy snap button so it doesn’t bunch up or swing around. The bottom of the stomach part has also 2 easy snap buttons to make sure it stays in place. The lining is SO super soft like a teddybear (Sherpa) and way better and warmer than fleece that you find in most coats. My favorite part is the ribbing on the sleeve and stomach.

Brave the Storm: Jacob and @CanadaPooch
No dog hates the rain as much as Jacob does. When we lived in LA, rainy season was the worst for him. I had a dog raincoat from Old Navy that I would put on him. Sometimes when the wind blew, the jacket’s velcro would blow off and the hood was so small that it was really just decorative. Since then, that little yellow raincoat became too short and too small for Jacob. Here are some of the problems we had with our old raincoat. (Nov 09)
1. The velcro straps did up around the front of the chest and then under the belly – Sometimes the front one will fly open and the coat will be dangling around his belly.
2. The hood was way too small to be worn
3. The length was too short and sometimes blew up in the wind and flip over
4. The front and underside of Jacob still got wet and muddy
When we came across Canada Pooch – We knew that we had a winner! I first saw Canada Pooch attire on Oscar from I’m Charming You but I had no idea they made big dog clothes. CanadaPooch prides themselves on “Helping your pooch brave the rugged Canadian climate in style.” All of those elements are important to me. Especially the STYLE part! (and function too!)
The Canada Pooch coat has a double velcro closure that goes from the chin to the belly. At the chin there is an extra snap button to secure it. The length fits him great (size 24) and the hood is more than generous in covering his head. It also has 3M reflectors on the edge.
Also it’s blue and black reversible!
