    Be Optimistic @Lifeisgood

“Do what you like. Like what you do.” Very well said motto by the company, Life Is Good. The apparel and accessories company has a mission to spread the power of optimism. The company was founded by brothers Bert and John Jacobs and since 1989, when they designed their first tee, the company has spread across the US (based in New England). Jake is the famous face for Life is good who along with everyone else “keep the good vibes flowing.”

Above is a “Football Season” tee I got for my dad and below is my new fuchsia mug I just bought for work and a zip-up I got for my mama.

A lot of their products have positive messages and I own a bunch of their tees and sweaters, which are super comfortable.

What this company also does is fundraise to help kids overcome life-threatening challenges, which include violence, illness, and poverty. The Life is good Playmakers is what they call it and to fundraise for this they have a 2-day festival every year with music, fun activities, and just a great experience.

I love their stuff! Check ‘em out on Facebook.

    Inspiration from @DVF

Diane von Furstenberg first arrived in the fashion world in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress, coming to symbolize female power and freedom. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Diane reemerged on the New York fashion scene with the re-launch of the dress that had started it all and began building her company into a global luxury lifestyle brand. Today, the DVF collection includes ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, accessories, eyewear, swim, DVF by H. Stern fine jewelry and watches, rugs and luggage. In 2005, Diane was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and was later elected the CFDA’s new president, an office she continues to hold.

In the video clip here, Diane tells the story of how she first got started.

    Lip Savvy Product Review

If you’ve seen me lately, you may have noticed my lips have had a pink shimmery glow to them.  That’s because I’ve been reviewing Lip Savvy lipgloss by Je’Ane ($18).

The line includes 22 shades in two different textures (ColorGlam matte and Star Studded Shine sparkly gloss) to flatter any skin tone, plus they offer tingle-free plumping action to hydrate lips and target fine lines and wrinkles with Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™ and collagen-boosting peptides.  They also slow the aging process with a patented Complete Free Radical Protection Technology™.

    Star Studded Shine Colors
    ColorGlam Colors

The gloss has a brush applicator, with each color available in your choice of 3 funky designs.  There are 8 designs in total (I had purple cheetah).

I tried OMG (a Star Studded Shine color), a sparkling bright raspberry pink.  I have to admit, I’m not worrying about fine lines, nor am I in need of the plumping action, but I had an overall good experience with the product.

THE PROS: great color, long-lasting, shimmery, pleasant smell

THE CONS: I used it up in about a week and a half!

    kisses, Olisa
