    ‘032 The Canadian Affair

Last week, I had seen this short film that was created by The Departement, it explores moments in a woman’s life. The film is presented beautifully with all the cinematography. The amazing soundtrack is by The Good The Bad.

Got to love Canadian art. Eh!

    much love,  @itstanyag

    @PanAmABC Recap: Eastern Exposure

Do we sense a little rivalry among the pilot bachelors? With Bridgette MIA, Dean and Collette seem to be getting a long these days. After watching co-pilot Ted fail at kiss with Laura, we find out a little more information about his past. It looks like his father helped him get into Pan Am, but only after his ship crashed in the navy and they blamed it on him rather than a system error. “Accept your honorable discharge honorably and get on with your life. There’s plenty of blue skies ahead of you Teddy.”

Tonight the Pan Am team hits Eastern Asia and show some skin at a resort in Rangoon, Burma. The girls taste the best chicken curry in Indonesia (and Laura spits it out), they watch a cock fight and lock a snake in the bathroom. With Maggie’s influence, Laura disappears with Kate’s camera and as a result she’s late for another one of her assignments. There’s more sisterly combat when they meet again. “It’s so easy for you. no one ever expected anything from you. You always got to do whatever you wanted,” says Laura. “Now I’m doing what you wanted and you still don’t want me here!” Her whining is getting annoying. Kate’s right. She needs to grow up and stop waiting for acceptance and just pull herself together. I mean come on, she still wears bunny slippers!

Kate continues to defend her sister, but it’s getting harder and harder for her to convince herself that Laura can stand on her own. As a result, Laura ends up crashing with Maggie. “It’s hard to fly with your wings clipped.”

    Fido Casting Call in Toronto

    Hey guys

Pet parents, dog lovers, and their canine companions came out to Trinity Bellwoods Park today to take part in the Fido Casting Call. FIDO is looking for their next big star to be featured in an ad in a national wide search. The winner is based on votes and for every vote  a $1 donation up to $200,000, to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. I was there interviewing pet parents and their doggy pals to see why they thought their dog was perfect for the part and got to meet some many wonderful pet parents and the little/big guys who make them smile everyday. The special will be airing on the Pet Network.

AND of course our own Miss Yvonne Kai of heydoyou.com is a huge dog lover too. Vote for her pooch Jacob!!

    UGG Australia grand opening!

    Hola everyone!

Toronto’s first UGG Australia store opened on Friday Oct 14th. I had the chance to check out the grand opening the night before and get a sneak preview of the fall UGG COLLECTION that just launched in Canada. Many Canadian talents were there and I was glad to see familiar faces like singer/actress Cory Lee, Danny Fernandez and Rick Campanelli of ET Canada. Here are some photos from the night. Tell me what you think about the new collection! After seeing some of the items I’m no longer afraid to walk outside in the winter. In fact, I think we can all look cute and be warm this winter.

Napoleon Perdis Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation Review

Over the summer, I had the opportunity to try @NapoleonPerdis’ Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation. I had received a gift card for the Napoleon Perdis store from IMATS and decided to redeem it with the purchase of this product. The Boudoir Foundation Mist is like getting airbrushed but from a can instead of an airbrush machine. I actually really enjoyed using this product. I’d say its a light-heavy coverage because it’s so buildable. You spray it in circular motions until you get the coverage you want. You can spray a little more on areas you want to cover more.

wearing it in this picture over summer 🙂

I abso-freaking-lutely love this product. I’m SO glad I got the opportunity to try this product… especially in the summer. When I was trying it in store, the awesome girl that helped me told me it works especially well in the summer because it’s pretty much sweatproof and that she had worn it to the beach without it coming off. I tried it when I went to a beach event and she was right. Once the mist dries on your face it pretty much stays put. I didn’t have to reapply at all throughout the day. I will say that since I’m an oily person I did apply a light layer of powder on top. She also said it works as a makeup sealer as in you can spray it over your makeup to lock it in place. I tried it once or twice and I thought of it as just a reinforcement to make sure my makeup didn’t evaporate and it definitely didn’t . These added uses aren’t listed on the product description but definitely won me over.

The downfall of this product…. It’s a whopping $49 a can. BUT compared to Dior Air Flash which is $62 a can it’s definitely cheaper. When I bought the product the girl that helped me told me that my first can would run out very quickly because it takes a few tries to get used to it and to know exactly how much to use. I still have a little bit in my can but I will say I ran out way faster than I thought I would. I don’t use it on a regular basis, only for outdoor occasions or for when I know I’m going to be in a hot environment like a club or a very populated event.

So overall, GREAT product. Steep price for my pockets but I think I would buy it again to use for those special events and occasions because it’s THAT good. For those that don’t want to invest in an actual airbrush machine but want the same results, I totally recommend giving this product a try. Actually, the price of a can compared to buying a Temptu airpod isn’t that big of a difference. For those that have been wanting to try an airbrush foundation, I would suggest this one over Dior Air Flash since this one isn’t as expensive.

As always, let me know if you’ve tried this product and your experiences 🙂

You can purchase this product along with the rest of Napoleon’s products on his website or at his stores.

    xo, June 🙂
