Get the Spark Back Fun Date Ideas for Married Couples

Whether you’ve been married to your partner for one year, ten years, or twenty years, you can probably agree that marriage is work. It’s always worth it, because you love each other, but you know it can be exhausting sometimes – especially if you have kids. There isn’t always time for each other, and often couples spend their energy and attention on their children and don’t have a lot left to give each other at the end of the day.

However, it’s important to spend the extra effort on your relationship, and pencil in some time together to rekindle the flame, so it doesn’t die out. If you have children, particularly young children, just having a night to yourselves is a treat on its own; not all dates need to be expensive, fancy nights out. Of course, it’s always a bit more fun to go out, so call up a babysitter and try one of these fun date nights with your partner.

Go to a concert

When was the last time you got to experience live music? Going to a concert is certainly a date night to remember! If you want an intimate evening, find a show at a local bar or small venue, or grab seats to that huge stadium show – there are events of all kinds to suit anyone’s taste. Find a concert online with TicketSales.com and spend the night dancing and singing your hearts out with each other.

Take a class together

Is there anything you’ve always wanted to try? Maybe a painting or a kickboxing class, or an aerial or acro yoga session? Well, why not turn it into a date night? Find something you both want to do (or compromise – you pick this week, and your partner picks next week, or vice versa) and try it together. Trying new hobbies together is a great way to connect over a shared interest and maybe even learn something new about each other.

Play games

Arcade bars are great date spots for any age because who doesn’t love playing arcade games and pinball? With all the arcade bars popping up, it’s hard to find one that doesn’t have the games you like, so get out there, be a kid again, and challenge your loved one to a round of skeeball or a race on one of those driving arcade games.

If video and arcade games aren’t your thing, what about board games? Playing board games is trendy for a reason: they are a lot of fun! Head to a board game cafe where you can choose from hundreds of games of all kinds to play. Board games are light and fun, and hopefully make you laugh, and isn’t that the perfect kind of fun? Have a games night with your partner – there are plenty of adult games out there too!

Go for a bike ride

Being outside in the sun is refreshing and uplifting, and can be a great way to spend an afternoon with a loved one. Find a trail that winds through a forest, near water, or to a park and enjoy a scenic ride.

If you can’t make it out for a day ride, an evening bike ride can be lovely too. Bring a blanket and some snacks and find a place to watch the sunset. Talk about romantic! Just don’t forget a light for your bike if you’re going to be biking home in the dark.

LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T Hosts Third Annual Festival With Unforgettable Performances By Kesha, Dan Reynolds, AJR, Tegan & Sara, Daya, K.Flay, Pvris, Laura Jane Grace

LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T held its third annual festival on Saturday night at USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley City, UT. The festival was presented by Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Grammy® Award-Winning band Imagine Dragons, and proceeds from the event will benefit past beneficiaries The Trevor ProjectGLAAD, the Human Rights CampaignTegan and Sara Foundation, and Encircle, as well as other vital organizations that proudly serve our LGBTQ+ youth. LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T seeks to progress the relevant and vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love, understand, accept, and support LGBTQ+ youth in our communities.

This year’s festival featured unforgettable performances by Grammy® Award-nominated, multi-platinum selling pop star, and advocate for equality KeshaDan ReynoldsAJRTegan & Sara,DayaK.FlayPVRIS, and Laura Jane Grace. Famed internet and television sensation Kalen Allen hosted the full day of festivities and led an inspiring group of speakers and performers that consisted of Emma GonzálezLena Waithe (Lead Mentor, AT&T 2019 Mentorship Program), Tyler GlennVINCINTParson JamesGnashAndy AlloAja VolkmanTy HerndonBrandon StansellPaul CardallMiya FolickShannon BeveridgeVivek ShrayaShamir and Foreign Figures. The event also featured a touching appearance by Matt Easton, the recent BYU Valedictorian who made headlines for coming out during his graduation speech, as well as a dance routine by former BYU mascot “Cosmo” Charlie Bird feat. BYU Cougarettes and Alumni.

LOVELOUD Festival was live streamed by @ATT on Twitter and the show can be viewed on replay until July 2 here and broadcasted live on Audience Network on DIRECTV. The livestream and broadcast weren’t the only ways AT&T brought LOVELOUD to the masses. Fans also had the opportunity to take action! For the entire day of June 29th, every time a fan used #TURNUPTHELOVE on Twitter, AT&T committed a $1 donation to the LOVELOUD Foundation, supporting LGBTQ+ youth-serving organizations.

For the second year in a row, LOVELOUD also partnered with Xbox to help contribute to its goal of raising $1 million to benefit LGBTQ+ charities. To do this, Xbox put Dan Reynolds gaming skills to the test with the LOVELOUD Xbox Game Pass Challenge. Hosted by Benny Perkin, presenter of Xbox On, Dan completed challenges that combined gaming, music and teamwork. When all challenges were completed, Dan racked up $100,000 for the LOVELOUD Foundation, which will benefit LGBTQ+ charity organizations.

Creating a concert-going experience that is inclusive of all fans is and will continue to be a priority for LOVELOUD and AT&T. All volunteers onsite this year underwent sensitivity training from Gender Spectrum, an organization whose mission it is to create a gender-inclusive world for all children and youth. To accomplish this, they help families, organizations, and institutions increase understandings of gender and consider the implications that evolving views have for each of us. Additionally, LOVELOUD partnered with KultureCity to ensure an experience that was sensory inclusive by providing training to volunteers, sensory inclusive bags and a mobile sensory room at the event. 1 in 6 fans have a sensory need. Loud noises, lights, smells and crowds are overwhelming and physically painful, and fans are often isolated because of this. LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T was eager to meet these needs and provide fans a concert environment that is welcoming and accepting of everyone.

Dan Reynolds founded the LOVELOUD Foundation in 2017 as a catalyst to bring communities and families together to help ignite the vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love our LGBTQ+ youth. The LOVELOUD Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and offers hope to young people, letting them know they’re not alone and encouraging acceptance in the home and community. It all begins with talking about, sharing and showing the realities of what LGBTQ+ teens face daily. Additionally, as part of this quest, Dan Reynolds created a documentary centered around LOVELOUD, called Believer. The film received runner up for the “Festival Favorite Award” at Sundance Film Festival 2018 and premiered on HBO last June.
AT&T’s commitment to equality and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community began in 1975, when the company became one of the first American corporations to adopt a policy prohibiting discrimination against employees based on sexual orientation. AT&T also has a long-standing commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace. LEAGUE at AT&T (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies Employee Organizations of AT&T) is one of the oldest LGBTQ Employee Resource Groups (ERG) in the nation. In 1998, AT&T adopted one of the first domestic partner benefits programs for LGBTQ employees. In 2006, AT&T was one of the first U.S. corporations to offer transgender-inclusive health care benefits. At AT&T, diversity and inclusion will always be top priorities.
