Fashion Designer Spotlight: Every Day is “World Humanitarian Day” with VEENA!

For World Humanitarian Day this August, celebrate girls around the globe with eco-brand VEENA. More than just a fashion statement, VEENA is a social enterprise with quality clothing and lifestyle accessories that serve as a vehicle for global change.

VEENA is a chic, sustainable clothing and lifestyle brand created by young entrepreneur and fashion designer Jena Murray.   Murray’s mission is to teach girls to love and value themselves – all while being fashionable.  Each design created is named after a child who touched Murray’s life through the VEENA WARRIORS program, where she works one-on-one with underprivileged girls. Through VEENA WARRIORS, girls learn to express themselves by creating jewelry, crafts, drawings and paintings which help them grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Murray is inspired by the girls’ spirit and resilience, and incorporates bright colors and eye-catching patterns into her brand’s designs that are just as unique as the girls who wear them. As a result, all of VEENA’s outfits and accessories incorporate energetic, positive, and subconscious design that builds the confidence of girls and changes the way they perceive themselves.  Check out their current pieces here.

VEENA WARRIORS works with girls in the U.S., Canada, and India, and Murray hopes to connect with more girls in several countries around the world.  Murray and her team at VEENA “envision a world in which every girl realizes her self-worth and activates her limitless potential by freely and courageously loving herself.”
