Ann Yee S/S 2015 Collection @inninails @aveda @ayeecollection

Human history is characterized by man’s unending adaptation to his/her environment. Why should New York Fashion Week be any different?

New York Designer Ann Yee kicks off the season with a climate change inspired collection. As weather becomes less predictable, going from hot to cold with little notice, fashion must adapt, we must be ready for a blistering afternoon and a rainy evening.

This collection, and the looks are all about dress that can prepare you for whatever Mother Nature has in store for you. Layering and textured knits create an abstract look on the body that is complemented with a similar interpretation on the face and hair.

Makeup artist Fatima Thomas creates a natural look called “seasonless makeup” that features a natural look, with a hot color right in the middle. Like the weather the look travels from cold to hot with a vibrant lip that’s a mix of 2 lipsticks and a pigment in the center of the lip. Paired with these variations in temperature on the face are hair stylist Jon Reyman’s version of climate change with smooth yet textured, edgy doo on top. A sassy manicure with nail art by INNI.

Now for the hair from Aveda!
