@Guess Spring 2014 Media Preview
We went over to The Spoke Club on King Street to check out the new Guess Spring 2014 collection. I really liked a lot of the pieces, especially a pair of white sandals with a golden rectangular heel, a gorgeous red bag, and a couple pretty dresses and shiny rings! My style is usually full of prints and bright colours, and I tend to dress really girly during the spring so, some of the pieces were right up my alley! Rachel from GUESS New York was also there to give us the goods on the new collection. We enjoyed some drinks and treats while browsing through and occasionally drooling over some of the pieces.Let us know what you think!

I wore a dress that had a mix of floral and animal prints, and two of my favourite dresses in the collection had the same mix, so I definitely enjoyed checking out this collection.

Three Feel Good Snacks: @enjoylifefoods @jontyjacobs @nuvosport
I’ll admit it- I love a good snack session. Sometimes I just need those in-between mini meals to get through the day. That being said, it’s not always easy to find a snack that my body won’t hate me for later. And if I do find something healthy, it’s not too often that it will taste very good. I can recall times when I was on the road, touring with my band, thinking “I really wish this truck stop had SOMETHING I can eat that doesn’t contain some kind of artificial crap.” As it turned out, my only options were over ripe bananas or stale peanuts in a bag. Luckily, I feel like I hit the jackpot on my recent snack discoveries.
First, I present you with Enjoy Life Foods Chewy Bars. I’m just going to get this out of the way right now: I love these things! Seriously. Now, I have a go-to snack that is free of any artificial ingredients whatsoever, free of the eight most comment allergens (including gluten, nut, dairy, & soy), and actually TASTES GOOD. Next up, there is a new player in the jerky game and he isn’t messing around. Meet Jonty Jacobs. They make a natural, chemical and preservative-free line of dried beef slices and sausage (also known as biltong and droëwors, respectively). What sets this jerky apart from any other I’ve had is it’s fine quality. This beef is grass-fed, made in the USA, and cured using a traditional South African method. Like our previous snack, there are no chemicals or additives in this product- only the GOOD STUFF. And yes, it is good. It’s like I’m tasting the meat from beef brisket sandwich from my local NYC deli- juicy and delicious, but dried for anytime enjoyment. (jontyjacobs.com)

The City Girl Shoes @NayaShoes
Naya is a line of shoes created for women who want beautiful, comfortable shoes perfect for the CITY. I recently tried leather shoes from Naya called “Valerie” and I have nothing but amazing things to say. Naya’s styles are made with soft, hand-finished leathers, rich colors and a patented comfort system. Wherever possible, Naya uses materials that leave a softer footprint on the Earth.

The Valerie is a leather suede bootie with a round toe and chunky heel. It has micro studs in the back. When the shoes arrived in the bright green box and separate shoe bags and a shoe form, I knew I was in for a treat. The heels are not too heavy but substantial for city sidewalks. The round toe is fashionable, fun and good for all day walking. I matched these shoes with an asymmetric jersey high slit dress but it can go really cute with drop crotch pants and light denim of some sort.
The Valerie bootie is for cities girls like and I will wear them all the time before the snow hits the ground!
