Jean Paul Gaultier  at the Brooklyn Museum

This multi-media panel discussion features Francis Kurkdjian, creator of Jean Paul Gaultier’s LE MALE and Thierry-Maxime Loriot, the exhibition’s curator. Luminaries in their respective fields, panelists will discuss the fascinating link between men’s fashion and men’s fragrance through the eyes of one of the world’s most iconic designers. The approximately 1-hour talk will be moderated  by Jane Larkworthy, Beauty Director of Wmagazine.

Prior to the talk, we had an exclusive press preview of the exhibit conducted by its original curator, Thierry-Maxime Loriot of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Enter the #SnapDragon @Qualcomm

My first outing with the HeyDoYou crew brought me to a tech event of epic proportions at SIR Stage 37.  Last Thursday night, I attended a Qualcomm event on Manhattan’s west side, surrounded by some of the latest and fastest mobile devices in the tech game thanks to the Snapdragon processor.

If you saw this amazing video Yvonne shared a few days ago, you’re already familiar with the 360° photo booth constructed with over a hundred HTC phones.  Little did I realize I would witness that in all of its glory just a couple days later, break dancers and all!

Still photos barely do this thing justice.  Imagine witnessing that famous scene from the Matrix in person, all captured with mobile phones- all possible thanks to Snapdragon.

Later, we were entertained with a live DJ performance spinning exclusively on Snapdragon-powered tablets.  The interactive demonstration was so cool that even the most timid of tech-nerds was getting down with their bad selves.  Admittedly, I’m one of those nerds.

I was able to play with all kinds of Snapdragon devices in the heart of phones and tablets from LG to HTC and more.  And, if the night couldn’t get any better, there was a photobooth printing flip books– amazing!

Who’s the new girl?

Hello friends! I’m Sal‘s wife, and I’m neighbors with Yvonne. She and my dog, Pocky, are in love with each other. Pocky looks at her like this:

I look at them like this:

My Brooklyn home is filled with many humans and animals. I live with my husband, our dog, and our two cats. You already met them in Sal’s post, but here’s another R2 and Momo picture:

Along with my family, I love to play, eat, and groom myself. I will blog about all of the above. I look forward to sharing my finds with you.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a @manwithatrike!

Hello, Readers!  My name is Sal and I’m honored to join the HeyDoYou family as a guest blogger.  Here I am with my friend, Freddy Mercury:

Unfortunately, Freddy does not belong to me, nor does he live in New York.  Moments after this photo was taken, I tried to steal him away from his dad in Los Angeles, but was unsuccessful and scolded.  But, hey, that’s okay- my life is pretty sweet.  I live in the great borough of Brooklyn, constantly surrounded by four beautiful ladies.  What can I say? I’m a lucky guy.picstitch

I play drums in two bands: Quiet Loudly and pow wow!   You can see us perform live around New York City or on tour around the country as often as possible.  You can also hear us on the interwebs.

I’ll be contributing my love of music, travel, technology, and food to HeyDoYou.  Thanks to Yvonne for inviting me, and to all of you for reading!
