Fall Fashion Must @aliciakeys for @Reebok Wedges!

REEBOK INTRODUCES THIRD REEBOK CLASSIC X ALICIA KEYS SIGNATURE COLLECTION

    V51922_PAIR_thumb

    –      Alicia takes the Freestyle to new heights for 2013 as she introduces wedges to Reebok Classic

    –      Spring/Summer collection launched on March 1st

     –      Third collection to be released for Autumn/Winter on September 1st

Boston, MA 2013 – Reebok Classic’s partnership and design collaboration with Alicia Keys continues with the introduction of new seasonal Reebok Classic X Alicia Keys collections for 2013. The collaboration sees exclusive limited edition lines featuring iconic Classic silhouettes which have been given Alicia’s unique creative touch. Alicia has been a long-term fan of Reebok since her days wearing the Freestyle Hi, known to her as the 54’11 as they cost 54 dollars and 11 cents, as a teenager.

Alicia draws inspiration from various aspects of her life when working on her collections for Reebok Classic, from her love of street culture to her glamorous on-stage experiences and her eclectic style influences. Working collaboratively with the Reebok Classic design team gives Alicia the opportunity to express her creative talent in the art-form of fashion.  Alicia says, “Working on my third range for Reebok Classic has been so much fun. Designing and working with the Reebok Classic design team is a great outlet for my creativity and provides me with another way to express myself artistically. I love every element of the process, from selecting which product silhouettes to use, to choosing materials and special features to working on colourways.  The Freestyle is my shoe; it has always been and will always be my favorite sneaker, so for me to be able to update it with a wedge and give it a totally new look and feel while still keeping the traditional look of the sneaker has been an honor and really exciting.”

New for FW 2013 is the A.Keys Wedge which fuses inspiration from both the Freestyle and the Chi-Kaze to create a brand new silhouette exclusive to the Reebok Classic X Alicia Keys collection.

September will see the introduction of the Reptile II Pack, the Tribal II Pack the Military Pack and theCrocodile Pack. The Reptile II Pack features chic reptile emboss detailing on black materials with bright red colour pops. The Tribal II Pack features refined neutrals, bright colour pops and a mixture of suede and leather material executions. The Military Pack features suede, heavy canvas, nylon and luxe leather and includes special details such as printed laces and boot eyelets, giving the range a rugged feminine look. TheCrocodile Pack features a chic shade of navy with crocodile detailing and gum outsoles.

Todd Krinsky, Reebok’s Vice President of Classic, says, “We are really excited about launching our third Reebok Classic range with Alicia. Her creative talent, energy, passion, vision and drive make her the perfect partner to collaborate with, especially when creating new product for like-minded women. Reebok Classic has rich heritage in women’s fitness and fashion and it is important to us to continue creating and evolving our women’s products to create future classics.

Fresh SS14 Looks Christian Siriano @csiriano

    CS SS14 Runway 37 CS SS14 Runway 33 CS SS14 Runway 26 CS SS14 Runway 18 CS SS14 Runway 4 CS SS14 Runway 1

For spring 2014, Christian Siriano drew upon his recent trip to Isla Mujeres, the “Island of Women,” off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula for inspiration. It is a modern yet authentic representation of the Mexican culture that is still appealing to women around the globe. The collection is a celebration of the female form as seen through a romantic lens to capture a refreshingly young vibe.

The color palette and silhouettes of the collection evolved from the architecture and bright tropical colors of the residential buildings, the crafts and handmade textiles, and the Caribbean coast. The imagery behind a fusion of grass and palm-lined huts, the terribly picturesque color blocked streets and intricate stonework in the town created a base foundation for the clothing’s shapes.

Prints were sparked by the traditional abundance of the dahlia, creating a reoccurring floral pattern. There are day separates in vibrant prints paired with raffia textiles, and soft elegant organzas for evening in sand tones. This collection, like the stimuli of the island, is dramatic and powerful in the lightest way possible.

    Hope North’s Inaugural Celebrity Studded Gala–you’re invited! @HopeNorth @SusanSarandon @ForestWhitaker

And now for something really special!

Hope North is an incredible secondary school in Uganda that has been designed to educate and heal the youngest victims of Uganda’s civil war, including orphans and child soldiers. This school is located on a 40-acre campus and features an international arts center, vocational training, and a working farm for the students. It’s a place to heal, as well as a place to empower Uganda’s youngest generation.

    Hope North

This month Hope North is holding their inaugural gala at NYC’s City Winery to raise funds and awareness for this fantastic organization. And you’re invited!

Honorary co-hosts Susan Sarandon and Forest Whitaker (two of my faves) will be celebrating the contributions that actress and advocate Mary-Louise Parker has given to Hope North, while Rufus Wainwright and Sahr Ngaujah will both be attending and performing a set for guests. Zoing – incredible!

If you’re out of town for the gala, Hope North is holding an online auction on September 10th, which has quite a few unique bidding items up for grabs, such as lunch with Susan Sarandon and Mary-Louise Parker (OMG!), a private concert at home with jazz pianist ELEW (swoon!), or a golf outing with Richard Kind (fore!). Check out Charity Buzz this week to place dibs!

DSCN4902TiGi created some incredible looks for Mara Hoffman backstage using a combination of pomade and high shine spray. Creating 3 braids and wrapping it with a colorful Guatemalan belts as bands – the TiGi team, transformed these models into magical and mythical RAINBOW WARRIORS.

Mara Hoffman beams a positive energy that lights up a room. “There’s a Rainbow Warrior moment happening here,” she said backstage before her spirited Spring show. “This collection is about straight-up happiness. I know that sounds hippie-dippie, but it’s real.” Hoffman wasn’t kidding about the rainbow thing. In addition to playing up her signature vibrant prints (including a graphic serpent pattern and her go-to third-eye motifs, which she did long before Kenzo), Hoffman showed maxi dresses and sheer caftans embroidered or embellished, respectively, with ROYGBIV-colored arcs. Other standouts in the lineup included tie-dyed jumpsuits, intarsia-knit ponchos, and a pair of short shorts cut from artisanal Guatemalan belts—the same ones wrapped around the models’ Willie Nelson-esque braided extensions. Hoffman’s aesthetic is niche, to be sure, but you can’t say these clothes don’t have soul (via Style.com)

    She is amazing!
