    National Puppy Day

    March 23, is National Puppy Day, and there is a new cast of animated characters helping to promote the adoption of dogs all over the world – the Super-Doggies.

    The Super-Doggies are a trio of animated singing dogs featured in a music video encouraging people to visit dog shelters with hopes of finding abandoned puppies a caring home. The Super-Doggies feature Barack Obama’s dog, Bo and Vladmir Putin’s dog, Buffy.  In fact, in this video both world leaders join their dogs for a global dance party.  Lending a hand in the creation of this video is none other than Eugeniy (Eugene) Kuritsyn, the 2012 Oscar award-winning animator of Rango.

    Eugeniy has teamed up with Grammy Award winning producer Neal Pogue who works with musicians like Nicky Minaj, Lil Wayne, Outkast and Pink.  The effort is also getting guidance from marketing veteran Bruce Kirkland who directed The Beatles Anthology project, the Beastie Boys, the Spice Girls, Radiohead, and Everclear.

    @Verb Products for your Hair

    Just this last week, Verb Hair Products launched nationwide at Ulta!

    Having come up empty on their search for a high-quality, low-price line to carry in the stores, Birds Barbershop (www.birdsbarbershop.com) co-owners Michael Portman and Jayson Rapaport spent the better part of two years developing their own. The result is a six-product, professional unisex line with all of the items retailing for just $12 each.

    What’s more, everything in the Verb product line is water-based, vitamin-enriched and contains a natural UV protectant tested in the Texas heat (the Verb Styling Cream actually can serve as “sunscreen” for your hair!). Bad stuff-free (no parabens or sulfates) with a barely-there scent, the products leave a clean, crisp finish that won’t linger. Verb is made in the United States and created without animal testing. All canisters are recyclable, although some people may find the packaging hard to throw away.


    I have been using these styling products for the last week and I give it 2 thumb up!  The scent it fresh and the product is not sticky at all.  If you are looking for a new styling product to switch up your routine, make sure you try Verb!

    Stussy Deluxe and Dr. Martens have teamed up for a dynamic footwear collaboration for Spring/Summer 2012. The new style, the Hambleton II is an update to the first Hambleton style that was released in Spring 2011. This collaboration marks the third partnership for the two brands, both respected for their independent heritage and deep roots in street culture. The Hambleton II will be available at select retailers worldwide in March 2012.

    Embrace CHAOS with @AXECanada

    I received this box recently, and couldn’t help but be curious about the “chaos” that lay within it. So I opened the box and long story short, there were two AXE sprays and one was for women. I didn’t know AXE made sprays for women???? The brand is known for helping the guys smell good, but now with new launch of Anarchy For Her, the girls can smell good too 🙂

    I have to admit, I didn’t know what to expect, and was a little skeptical about even trying it out… BUT when it comes to anything even remotely fragrance related, I can’t help myself. So I tried it out, and was pleasantly surprised. AXE Anarchy For Her is a gentle and fresh scent with a subtle sweetness. It is a mix of sparkling fruity notes, soft florals, and a light finish of sandalwood, amber and vanilla. Yummy.

    I asked Kyle Marancos, Brand Building Manager for AXE to tell me about the story behind AXE Anarchy for women, and this is what he had to say:

    What brought about the idea for AXE Anarchy for women?

    We have a very supportive female fan base – and they’ve told us over and over again that they want their ownAXE product – so we made one for them.

    What is the inspiration behind the scent?
    Fragrances can have a powerful effect on the opposite sex.  Our goal, with the launch of AXE Anarchy, is to provide both guys and girls with the spark they need to act on their mutual attraction – and unleash a little chaos in the process. 

    Why the name AXE Anarchy? 

    We all know that moment – whether it’s happened to us or not – when two people are so attracted to each other that nothing else matters. AXE Anarchy is a catalyst, meant to inspire guys and girls to act on their mutual attraction.

    What does it mean to “embrace chaos?”
    Anarchy, similar to attraction, can be chaotic. With the launch of AXE Anarchy, we’re encouraging guys and girls to act on their attraction, and unleash a little chaos in the process. Sometimes attraction is chaos – but it can be good chaos.
