Klix Make Up Brushes Review

Recently, I received these awesome Klix Make Up Brushes which I think are super cool.

“Klix features replaceable, recyclable makeup brush heads, so you won’t have to spend time cleaning, rinsing, drying and reshaping your makeup brushes, only to find they never quite work the same again. And they aren’t even clean. With Klix, you can ensure flawless makeup application and protect your skin from blemish-causing bacteria. All with the click of a button.”

They currently offer these brushes with replacable applicators in a powder brush, concealer brush, and blush brush. The synthetic brush hairs were surprisingly very soft on my skin. I was skeptical about how the quality of the brush fibers would be since they are disposable, not meant for long time use, and relatively inexpensive. The bristles are white so you can see how dirty the brush gets as you use it and can replace the brush head when you feel its got too much makeup, dirt, and oil stuck in it.

With just a click on the handle, the brush head pops off and you can replace it with a new one.

I think this is a great idea since makeup brushes are probably the most bacteria-filled things we touch to our faces on a daily basis. To me, washing brushes is the biggest pain in the butt! Not to mention, washing brushes will never fully sanitize your brushes. So far, I like the brushes a lot. I don’t think I’ll be needing to replace a brush head for at least 2 months or so but it totally depends on your skin type, skin care routine, and types of product you use. Love that the quality of the brushes are pretty good and can definitely match up to my pro brushes for everyday application.

A Set of 3 brushes (powder, concealer, and blush) is $59.95. Each replacement set comes with 2 replacement heads. Powder brush replacement are $11.95 for 2, Concealer brush replacements are $9.95 for 2, and Blush brush replacements are $10.95 for 2. They’re also giving away a set of 2 disposable Kabuki brushes with the purchase of a full set! Great deal!

Overall, I think these patent-pending brushes would be a good purchase. I would recommend these especially to people with problem skin (sensitivity, acne, etc.) because a huge source of your skin issues could be from the brushes you use. No one could dare ask you to stop wearing makeup (total crime to ask that of a woman) but making sure you’re being as clean and sanitary can go a long way when it comes to beautiful skin. Besides, who doesn’t love the thought of new brushes every few months! 🙂

You can purchase these on the Klix Make Up Brushes website. Try them out and let me know how you like them 🙂

xo, June 🙂

Men Style Watch @Vilebrequin_US

2011 Summer Autumn Collection

“In the style of…” This season Vilebrequin enters into a creative dialogue with the contemporary artists who have shaped the 20th century. Henri Matisse and his cutout techniques, Andy Warhol and his Pop Art, Sonia Delaunay and her love of colours… so many creations able to inspire Vilebrequin to produce a collection that sounds like a tribute to the history of art.Roy Lichtenstein’s favoured comic strip style, the Klein blue, Joan Miro’s poetic shapes, the exotic, highly-stylised paintings of Henri Rousseau and even Jackson Pollock’s splashes of water paint also feature in this entertaining and cultural journey. Each swimsuit becomes a master’s canvass, an original piece from a unique world, fuelled by the identity of each of these artists and inspired by their personalities.Vilebrequin’s icons, the tortoise, fruits and flowers have been reinterpreted using techniques specific to each artist. Vilebrequin has designed a timeless collection, both creative and inventive, with art collectors and sun lovers in mind…
