Philly Cooking Creme

I forgot my Metrocard today and ended up walking home from Times Square. I am so glad I took 7th Ave because I got a sample of the Philadelphia Cooking Creme. Can’t wait to try it!

Not sure if it is in Canada yet but there are tons of recipe ideas available on Youtube and the Philly site already.

I found the US Commercial but I personally prefer the Australian Commercial

Sometimes you got to spend that cheese to make that cheese. See the article on AdAge

“hat person”

I bought a black fedora from H&M about two years ago simply because I loved the idea of owning a fedora but not necessarily wearing it… I know, sometimes I’m weird like that.

Anyway, it didn’t take long for me to start wearing it; in fact, I think I wore it the next day, and have worn it countless times since. It’s the perfect go-to accessory when you’re in a rush, goes well with pretty much anything…well except dressy gowns and such; I would suggest a top hat for such occasions! Fedoras are also the perfect addition to your outfit on days when you want to dress down and still look cute 🙂 Best part? Both women and men can rock a fedora, you just gotta find the right one (s) 🙂

Fedoras and even top hats are as far as I’ll go with hats, so I’m not sure if that makes me a “hat person”. I really only own like 2 or 3 hats… that doesn’t make me a hat person can it? Does it? I’m just a girl that likes to occasionally wear a hat. However, I’m not a fitted kinda girl… some girls can definitely pull it off. So are you a “hat person?”

Music eh! Birthday Boys

They are known as Ontario’s best kept secret and they will be taking their “enraging and visceral” live performance on the road (alongside Detroit’s Electric Six) this March. The Birthday Boys are also releasing the Tin Head EP, which is said to be a feast for the ears. The last time the Birthday Boys were on tour, they recorded 30 songs in 30 days! This year the rockumentary will be based on the band’s various adventures while they’re on the road, and just so you can see what the guys are up to; the webisodes will be available for your viewing pleasure on

Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy

We all love summers in New York, but those amazing, yet steamy, days can turn any headful of curly, wavy or kinky hair into a giant frizz ball in a matter of seconds!  That is unless you’re armed with an arsenal of styling products designed to eliminate unruliness and increase manageability, shine and softness.

This past Friday, celeb hairstylist Ryan Nickulas, owner of Ryan Darius Salon in New York (and star of Logo TV’s The A-List: New York), unveiled Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy’s must-have new hair products for the summer.   This key ingredient of this smoothing system is keratin, a protein that hair loves!

  • Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner – Suds up with the sulfate-free, chloride-free shampoo and follow with the nourishing, heat-protecting conditioner ($20)
  • Volumizing Dry Shampoo Lift Powder – Great when you’re on-the-go.  Gently cleanses and absorbs excess oil without stripping hair’s natural nutrients ($24)
  • Vita Volume Boosting Foam – This non-greasy, moisturizing foam enhances hair’s style and flexibility while providing lift and volume ($24)
  • Straight Day Styling Spray – A personal favorite, this daily hydrating treatment can be sprayed on wet or dry hair to tame flyaways and frizz ($24 for 2oz. / $32 for 4oz.)
  • Flex Flow Finishing Hairspray – I used this on a hellishly, windy and rainy night and it worked!  It delivered a soft, flexible hold as promised ($20)

And of course, you have to be equipped with the right tools:

  • KeraMini Flat Iron – This travel-size tourmaline ceramic straightener comes with a protective thermal pouch in a choice of Giraffe, Zebra, Black Navy or Pink (animal print $75 / colors $59)
