    Attention Toy Fanatics!

I loved toys as a kid! I had the big Barbie house, and ALL the accesories (150 barbies, and tonnes of other stuff I won’t even bother listing lol… *don’t judge me*). I was only allowed to watch TV from 5-8pm so what else was I supposed to do with my time?
Majority of us played with LEGO, or even owned a LEGO set at some point during our childhood; we built houses, cars, whatever. But James May, a toy fan over in the U.K did something that I would put in the AWESOME category!
He built a two-story LEGO mansion (with a fully functional washroom; shower & toilet!), in the middle of a vineyard in Surrey, England. “Damn, that’s a lotta LEGO”, I know I said the same thing; approximately 816 million pieces.
According to Geek.com, they were going to move this awesome creation to the Legoland Park in Windsor, but it cost too much money to move it there sooo long story short, they destroyed it! *tear*
“It was only ever meant to be a temporary structure, they were hoping that it would be going to Legoland, but they have made the decision not to take it”Jeanette Simpson Vineyard spokesperson.
In case you’re wondering what happened to the millions of LEGO pieces, they were donated to a charity 🙂 *least some good came out of it :)*

    Thanks for the pics Contaminated.com!
    *kisses*

    In the Biz: Kibibi Springs

The very best way to learn how to get to where you want to be is to talk to someone who is already there. I came across this lady with incredible resume and a sun shiny outlook on life that is just too perfect for me. For those of who are struggling with your career focus or direct, do what I do… find a mentor and be inspire!  Big thank you from HeyDoYou to Miss Kibibi Springs to share her 2 cents with us. A perfect example of how to Do You!

    KIBIBI SPRINGS –  www.TheLivingWellSuite.com

I earned a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara in Communication studies.  Studying in Santa Barbara was my first introduction to the importance of work/life balance.  I earned one of the best educations in communication theory and how to enjoy life and the beach while doing it. 🙂

Since graduating, I have enjoyed a successful 15 year career in marketing communications with top 10 public relations agency Edelman Public Relations, national education non-profit The Milken Family Foundation,  Fortune 500 companies Procter & Gamble Beauty and The Virgin Entertainment Group as well as entrepreneurial experience as a freelance marketing consultant.

Currently I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a specialization in consumer psychology which I intend to use to continue my career in the management consulting industry.

    City you live in:
    Los Angeles, CA

If there was a theme song in your life, it would be:

Love this question!  This changes frequently because I love music, but right now I would pick Jason Mraz’ Live High.  The lyrics speak to living a life of high integrity and I’m all about that.

What is the best advice you can give to a women who wants that corner office?

Know yourself and get it on your own terms.  In many cases, that corner office can come at the cost of other things in your life.  Before you get to what you envision as the pinnacle to success in your industry, know what you’re going to be asked to sacrifice to make that a reality and be honest with yourself about what you are willing to give to get it.  If the outline for the job you have your eye on requires too much sacrifice for you personally, create that position on your own terms.  Success has many definitions and the ones we’re used to chasing are being reinvented everyday on individually unique terms.

What is the your favorite quote that keeps you motivated?

Oh man, I’m a quote person. I eat and drink them so it’s hard to pick just one.  I’m very partial to quotes from sports coaches so I’ll pick this one:

“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.” – Vince Lombardi

What do you think is the the key to being a successful woman in the marketing industry?

The marketing industry offers a breadth of options in which you can focus your interests.  This makes it a great career choice for someone who’s curious about many different things.  At the same time it can be very easy to get lost in the options available to you.  My advice from this vantage point in my career is explore your options but aim to direct them towards a specialization, something that you are known for and do better than anyone else in your field.
