Event Love: @FitzroyBoutique #WeWantSpring Party
We’ve been having some CRAZY weather these last few weeks, and we’re not the only one’s who noticed. The ladies of Fitzroy Boutique, Julie and Angela have also had enough of this silly weather, and invited us for a fun night of cocktails and shopping their latest spring/summer pieces over at the BYOB Cocktail Emporium; in hopes that this will sway mother nature into giving us some sunshine and warm weather! Due to the chilly weather, I wore a onesie and a leather jacket to the event, but once I entered BYOB it felt like summer; the room was warm and buzzing with all the laughter, everyone was smiling, there were pretty summery outfits both on and off the racks, and the dj was playing some pretty sweet tunes!
It’s safe to say that I loved everything that they had on display. There was just so much good stuff, and if it wasn’t for these bills, mama would have a brand new wardrobe!! Either way, I had a great time, I sipped some drinks, snapped some pics, connected with some pretty awesome people, and got nailed by the ladies of Pinky’s Nails. T’was a good night, it was a beautiful summer night, even if it only lasted until the party was over ๐
The lovely Angela and Julie ๐
I should just make it clear that I love everything in every photo that I took.
I LIVE FOR ANIMAL PRINT EVERYTHING!
I just love it in there! Did I say that already? lol
Look at how happy everyone was ๐
Do I even have to say how much I dig this ring???
Loved how Pinky’s Nails hooked me up!!!
If you’re looking for a new summer wardrobe, or looking to upgrade your current one, you NEED to go and check out Fitzroy Boutique! I cannot stress how amazing it is. IT’S AMAZING.
Thank you so much to Angela and Julie for treating us to a little taste of summer, and for always throwing a good party!

Event LOVE: @SkinnyGirl Cocktails with @Bethenny Frankel #SkinnyGirlTO
We were recently invited to the Skinnygirl Cocktails “Summer Styling Like a Lady” event, over at The Rosewater Room in downtown Toronto. Myself, Elana, and like a million ladies joined special celebrity guest/Skinnygirl Cocktails founder Bethenny Frankel for an evening of fun interactive sessions on fashion, decor, mixology, food, all while sipping on various cocktails from the Skinnygirl line (Sangria is my favourite by the way).
All the ladies were asked to bring a gently worn piece of business attire to help support Skinnygirl Cocktails as they teamed up with Dress For Success Toronto– a charitable organization which promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women in the GTA by providing them with professional attire for the everyday work place.ย
The event was hosted by Traci Melchor of CTV’s ETALK, and there was also an interactive Q&A session with Bethenny (which I missed cause I got carried away at they gym, then couldn’t decided on what dress to wear… girl problems.) After the Q&A session, we got a chance to explore the various interactive styling rooms, and of course, drank more Skinnygirl cocktails and snacked on for d’oeuvres for the rest of the night.
I kinda sorta wore my hair out ๐
Thank you for inviting us!

Event LOVE: @Swarovski Fall/Winter 2013/14 Collection Preview
We were recently invited to view Swarovski’s Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. The event was held over at the luxurious Shangri-la Hotel (so fitting) in downtown Toronto, and the room was beautifully decorated with gorgeous displays of the collection. I never know what to expect from Swarovski; but what I do know is that it never disappoints, I’m always blown away, I ooh, aah, and drool a little , and there are always so many beautiful pieces, and this was definitely the case that evening. You’ll see by my pictures that I tried so hard to hold all the excitement back (loves me some shiny thangs!), but ultimately failed, as I tried on pretty much everything and was acting a damn fool ๐ I also got to hang out with some of my favourtie bloggers. I had fun!
Here are some of my favourite pieces, which is pretty much the entire collection!
Oh. My. Gaawwwwwwwwd!!! LOVE.
looking at all that pretty jewellery makes a girl thirrrrstay!
this was made for me… for real. It should me mine.
I receive that!
Christine looking adorable as usual ๐
Amen!
Carcia is the greatest lol ๐
lovely!
we tried taking a selfie… and failed lolSuper fun times! I was totally out of breath and so overwhelmed by all the beautiful pieces! I took over 150 pictures, and for the sake of not having a super long post, I’ll make an album so that you guys can check out the rest of pics from that night ๐
Thank you so much to Swarovski for always inviting us, and for allowing us to view such a beautiful collection!
Happy weekend ๐

Event LOVE: Canadian Club @cc_whisky
We were recently summoned by the Canadian Club Chairman to share in his “Whisky Whisdoms” at the inaugural Canadian Club National Club meeting; which was held at Hart House in downtown Toronto, and hosted by the Canadian Club Chairman himself. Myself, Kaylaa, and many others ditched our wine glasses/beer cups for classic Canadian Club cocktails, enjoyed hearty hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Chairman’s own five food groups, and some of us even got to experience the perks of the CC Club membership; which included style tips and rewards from Korry’s Clothiers and Bode Spa.
Whisky tasting time! I think we went three or four rounds…
I’m not a Whisky drinker, but I DRANK some Whisky that night, and it was gooooood ๐
check out their blog!
The club ginger was delicious!
So I drank it all night as well ๐
Lawd… the food was smelling so so so GOOD!
you know… just chillin’ with the Chairman ๐
Agreed!
It really was a fun night, we did a whisky tasting, then got some delicious whisky cocktails, then we snacked on some AMAZING hors d’oeuvres, THEN we took pictures with the chairman… we did this over and over again, and it was GREAT! I can’t wait for the next meeting!
Thanks to the Chairman for sharing his “Whisky Whisdoms” with us ๐
peace, love and good Whisky!

Interview LOVE: Cam Heaps for Fight for Independence @CharityBoxingTO @SteamWhistle
Steam Whistleย Brewing Co-Founder Cam Heaps recently announced his participation in the 9th Annual Fight for Independence; aย charity boxing event that benefits Sick Kids and Nazareth House. We were given a heads up that Cam was doing interviews, so we jumped at the opportunity to have a sit down with him, and get the 411 on Fight for Independence, and his involvement with this event.
The theme of the event is the roaring 20s, as this was a time when boxing was the premier sport in the world; Kool Haus will be turned into a tasteful and exclusive speakeasy, and there will even be flappers and VIP ring-side bottle service. So exciting! I’ve never been to a boxing match, never mind watched one, so I’m really excited to see how the event will turn out!

Cam will be facing his opponent Pat Miller of Bimcor Inc.
A little bit about Fight For Independence:
The brainchild of Bay Street traders, James Beattie, Jackie Walker and Tom Gajer, Fight for Independence has always been about more than boxing bankers. โIn 2004 we met Sister June Dwyer, who was running Nazareth House, and saw the lasting difference she was making in peopleโs lives by assisting them with their daily and weekly programming on a shoe-string budget. Before long, we knew we needed to find a way to raise money for the amazing work she and others were doing at the House.โย In 2008, the event expanded to raise funds for the SickKids Emergency Department, which sees roughly 58,000 children each year and improves the hospitalโs ability to treat patients in an organized and efficient manner, reducing wait times. Cailey Heaps Estrin and her family were in search of a way to give back after their daughterโs extraordinary experience. James suggested they team up with Fight for Independence to expand the sponsorship and audience, and to maximize support for these organizations.
Thanks (and good luck) to Cam for an awesome interview, as well as a big thank you to the people of Fight For Independence for inviting us to the event, we can’t wait!
