    D:Tox System by @GiovanniBrand

The D:Tox System from Giovanni Eco Chic cosmetics is a line of body and facial skincare products created to promote healthier skin through detoxification. The D:Tox system uses antioxidants to delve into pores and absorbs the day’s toxins, impurities, excess oils; featuring ingredients like activated charcoal and volcanic ash from the Mediterranean sea, goji berry, acai, and green tea.

I’ve been using the cleanser and the scrub for about two weeks now, and so far so good 🙂

Have you tried the D:Tox System? If yes, what do you think? If no, you totally need to try it, because it’s awesome. I have really sensitive skin, so I have to be careful about what products I use, especially on my face, but the results of using the D:Tox System have been wonderful! I am pleased.

    peace and love

ps: The facial collection includes purifying cleanser, scrub, mask and moisturizer, and the body line includes a purifying body wash, purifying body scrub and a replenishing body lotion. GET YOU SOME.

    The JOY of Black Soap

    Unrefined Black Soap

I’ve always heard about Black Soap, but never bothered to find out about it, let alone try it, until now. I was in desperate need for some more shea butter, and while I was at the store; the lady recommended that I add Black Soap to my skin care regime (washing my face twice a day + raw shea butter + drinking lots of water + eating lots of vegetables). After hearing of it’s many benefits, and that I could use it from head to toe, and I mean head to toe; I was sold.

Raw Shea Butter + Unrefined Black Soap = AWESOME Skin

    How it’s made:

    1. The leaves and bark of various trees and plants (banana trees, plantain skins, leaves and bark, palm tree leaves, cocoa pods, shea tree bark, etc.) are first burned in a kettle or vat.

    2. Water is added to the ashes and then filtered. Oils such as shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, and cocoa butter are then added to create the soap.

    3. The soap is then hand stirred by local women for at least a day and then set out to cure for two weeks.

    Benefits:

    1. You can use Black Soap on your body, face, and to wash your hair

    2. Helps relieve rashes, and scalp irritations

    3. Softens rough skin, great for both oily and dry skin types, and helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines

    4. Helps clear acne, blemishes, and other skin related problems

    peace and love

*If you’re going to try it, make sure it’s unrefined Black Soap from West Africa, and not made in the U.S as those ones usually have a number of toxic ingredients…

Why I LOVE it: Women’s Gold

I wouldn’t know where to begin the list of the many benefits that using shea butter brings. Since my beauty/skin care detox this is ALL I have been using on my face and body, and I LOVE it! I prefer to use unrefined shea butter instead of products that claim to contain shea butter as the refining process diminishes a lot of the vitamins… No thanks. Unrefined shea butter retains ALL its natural vitamins. I’ve heard that some people don’t like the smell, but I think that they are so used to using scented products that the lack of fragrance bothers them. Poor things. It doesn’t smell like anything…

I definitely understand why it’s called “Women’s Gold”.
    Shea Butter Trivia:
♥ Shea butter is also known as karite butter, and is made from the nuts of karite trees (aka Mangifolia trees) that grow in the West and Central African regions.
♥ Destruction of the shea tree is forbidden in most parts of West Africa, as the nuts provide a valuable source of food, medicine and even income.
♥ Shea butter is sometimes referred to as “Women’s gold” as there are women that are employed in the production of shea butter.
♥ Shea butter is used to help heal burns, sores, scars, dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff, and stretch marks. It’s an excellent moisturizer, as it promotes cell renewal, diminishes wrinkles, and increases elasticity and circulation.
♥ It also contains cinnamic acid which helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays.
♥ Shea butter also protects the skin from both environmental and free-radical damage. It contains vitamins A and E, and has also shown antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Why I love it? Because it’s 100% natural, it doesn’t contain any harmful toxins or ingredients, and it doesn’t cost me an arm, a leg, or my health to enjoy its benefits! Who can use it? Everyone… actually it’s not recommended for people with nut allergies. Sorry.
    peace, love and health
