    The Great Exploration: @Muttonhead_Co AW13

“our focus is ‘slow design’, a counter-movement to ‘fast fashion’.”- Muttonhead

Muttonhead recently revealed their A/W13 collection and I’m loving it. After taking a look at it, I’m all kinds of mad all over again for missing their pop-up shops/sales last year ( I was out of town. It won’t happen again) For those who are unfamiliar with Muttonhead, it’s a unisex, sportswear line ethically manufactured right here in Toronto, and it’s dope!

    4

I’m normally pretty colourful and girly when I dress, but I have my days where I just wanna keep it simple and chill in something comfy, but still look good, and if it’s made in Canada, even better! This is wear Muttonhead comes in. I love how everything is so well made, the hoodies are EVERYTHING, loves the crew-necks, feeling the accessories, and the best part is that it’s unisex, so I can rock the entire collection!

    17

I’m more of a fedora kinda girl, but I’d totally do it!

    5

    love everything!

    9

    Simple. Functional. Stylish. YES.

A big thank you to Paige for sharing this with us. Head over to the Muttonhead website to check out the rest of the collection, oh and they’re having a sale!!!!

    peace and love

Event LOVE: SPACE One Year Anniversary

    20130130_190515

Last night we attended the one year anniversary of Positive Space at the Positive Space store on King street. For those who don’t know, Positive Space Interiors is a Canadian based designer and manufacturer of premium and custom made furniture. Their products include bedroom and dining room furniture, kitchen tables, and chairs. I always walked past this store while I was at George Brown but never went in, and was pleasantly surprised by the furniture that was on display last night. I. Loved. The. BEDS! I’ve seen beds with storage drawers before, but these ones were so well made, and the storage drawers have loads of space!! Any who, it was a fun evening, I met lots of great people, sipped on chardonnay and snacked on some yummy appetizers. It was a good night!

  • My Dog Jacob

Goose Down-Filled Dog Coat from @JoyPetsProducts

Sky Blue Silver Grey Goose Down Coat from Joy Pet Products

We are on the last legs of summer right now and fall means one thing for dog owner – Time to shop for coats! We recently tried a brand new coat from our friends at Joy Pet Products. You know it is filled with real down because it smells like down pillows and down duvets! The down that Joy Pets Products used is cleaned between 10 – 15 times and the standard is 2 – 5 times because of dog’s sensitivity to smell.

The Joy Pet Products Goose Down Filled Dog Coat has a removable poly fill hood and a 3M reflective piping for safety. This new version of the dog coat feels lighter than their previous Original Goose Down Filled Dog Coat because its made with soft water resistant nylon on both sides. It is super warm for short coat wimpy dogs like Jacob because it still has the same high fill power white goose down.

The best part of these nylon coats without the fleece layer is that they prevent shedding inside the coat and fur bits getting stuck. They are fully reversible for two different looks, adjustable fit and machine wash and dry for easy wear – easy care.

Side view of the coat – The hood is a bit small to actually use but it is cute and removable!

*The hood is actually meant to be worn as shown on our site to give extra neck coverage.  It’s helpful for dogs who have longer bodies but don’t need a larger size coat.

    It is also reversible grey.

This coat is available in Sizes XXS through XL for $129.99 Made in Canada or USA.

    She’s a BUSINESS woman 2

She started designing jewellery for family and friends in the 90s. Turned the hobby into a part -time career while finishing her degree, opened up a tanning/gift boutique; and the rest as they say is history. I mentioned before that I had an awesome time, spending the day with Shah, and now you have a chance to see just how lovely she is. Get to know her!

    Venus Upon Havana

I mentioned last week, that I got to spend the day with Shah Emily, who is the founder and CEO of 3SHAHS; a custom jewellery line based here in Toronto. I had the opportunity to pick her brain, as well as get a preview of the new 3SHAHS Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which I loved by the way. Before the interview, I had to warn Shah that I an on an oohing/aahing-free diet while filming, as my videos pretty much o.d from them… it was difficult, and the occasional ooh and aah slipped out, but not biggie; the collection is wonderful, and has me craving warm summer weather!

    Enjoy!

    peace, love, and health
