    Oh BOY! @Chanel

I never ever fall for handbags the way I fall for shoes. But when I went to the Chanel store at Americana Manhasset – I fell hard!  The Chanel BOY is by far the Chanel bag that is after my own heart. The antiqued silver closure and the double heavy duty chain is perfect for all the places I would bring it.  It is so grungy and classy at the same time – I think it’s a match made in heaven for me!

My new friend BOY is much more exciting than my new boy friend.

They range from $2000-$4000 depending on the size and material.  I kinda dig it. What do you think?

I want this small black and silver one

Here is what they said on Teen Vogue:

It would be safe to say that twenty-four-year-old Brit-by-way-of-Brazil Alice Dellal isn’t the typical Chanel lady. She has a nose ring and upwards of fifteen tattoos. Half of her head is shaved. She prefers leather jackets to tweed ones and silver spikes to pearls. And instead of a 2.55 (the gold standard of pouches for most girls), her pockets have always served as her purse.

Meet Chanel’s latest addition to its stable of iconic bags. “What I love about the Boy,” Alice says, “is that it’s rough around the edges. It isn’t a perfect little lady bag.” Indeed, with punk luxe chains and seatbelt-style straps, it’s anything but prissy. Inspired by English hunting bags, the carryall takes its name from Boy Capel, Coco Chanel’s onetime paramour.

To hear Karl Lagerfeld tell it, Alice was born to be its leading lady. “It takes more courage to push a look like hers than to be average,” he says. “Alice has style in the extreme.”

When I meet Alice at Chanel’s rue Cambon headquarters on a sunny April day, she has already staked a claim on a black patent Boy with a chain belt. (She also has a gray stingray style.) “I like something I can wear all the time that goes with everything,” she tells me. (Editor’s note: “Everything” in Alice’s book translates to devilishly short skirts, band tees, and shredded denim.)

You can’t go wrong with classic black, but since I can’t compete with Alice’s rocker persona (the only things I shave are my legs, and I have zero tattoos), I decide to test-drive a bright coral. With a bag this cool, I’m perfectly happy letting my outfit take a backseat!

The first stop of our Paris rendezvous—aprés Chanel, bien sûr—is the Palais Royal, where we can’t resist a photo op on artist Daniel Buren’s black-and-white columns. Next, we hit Monster Melodies. When Alice isn’t posing in Chanel campaigns, she plays drums in London band Thrush Metal, and DJs (check teenvogue.com for her top tracks). The last stop on our tour de Paris is Left Bank classic Café de Flore, where we order croque-monsieur and settle in at a sidewalk table.

Observing the chic passersby, Alice admits that French style is hard to resist. “When I was growing up, my mother always wore Chanel,” she says. “My sister, Charlotte [who designs haute shoe line Charlotte Olympia], has a tattoo of the logo,” she adds with a laugh. “It was the first label I knew about.” Since taking on an official role with the house, she’s even worked such Chanel classics as tweed jackets into her wardrobe—with cutoff jean shorts. “It’s a modern way to mix styles,” she says. And what of the baggage that comes with her new post? “I don’t go anywhere without it,” she asserts of her Boy bag. Needless to say, her pockets are out of a job.

On the SIXTH day of Christmas…@ThompsonFerrier

Giving a Thompson Ferrier candle, from his newly launched line, is like giving a dose of luxury–for under $50!

I had the pleasure of taking home a candle in Kashmiri Spice ($48), which emitted a comforting aroma of spicy chai, vanilla, ginger root, nutmeg, cinnamon bark and black tea, which lingers long after the wick is extinguished. The hand-poured candle comes in a luxurious, gold pouch.

The line feature candles in a variety of shapes and fragrances (from $15-68)

    Yacht Dee-LUXE!

*singing If I was rich girl, I would buy me a luxury Yacht designed by Elie Saab, and I’d have all the diamonds in the world, If I was I was a wealthy girrrrrrrrrrrl*. lol I’m so silly.
This is why we heart Katie Lister (Director WEYVES Intl Ltd.); because she keeps us connected with stuff like this! And we love it!

Fashion really has nooooo boundaries! Just so unstoppable, we heart you!
So, Couturier Elie Saab recently signed a contract with WEYVES International Ltd, to design three luxurrrrrious MEGA Yachts… Not just any kinda Yacht, THREE Luxurious MEGA Yachts *has chills down spine*
“I always sought to incarnate my vision of modernity and elegance beyond the conventional limits of fashion… To envision the designs of yachts and to conceive the art of living which accompanies them are an exceptional opportunity to expand a brand’s universe through creating the experience of unsurpassable luxury.”– Elie Saab
Elie Saab will conceptualize and provide his creative genius in the interior design aspects, as well as the external for these EXCLUSIVE luxury yachts. *singing if I was a rich girl*
I can’t wait to see what these MEGA Yachts are gonna look like! Luckily, we don’t have to wait that long, as the first Yacht will be revealed this February at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show! *and the crowd roars!* yeah yeah don’t act like you’re not excited. Even if you can’t afford one of these Yachts, appreciate how someone just like you and me was able to accomplish so many great things through Hard work, recognizing his skills and talent, and making his dream come true. If he can do it, then why can’t we?
Remember that beautiful burgundy gown Halle Berry wore to the Academy Awards, the night she won for Best Actress back in 2002? Well guess you designed it? That’s right. Elie Saab; he was the first Lebanese designer to dress an Oscar winner. D-O-P-E!
“We are delighted about this collaboration with the fashion house of Elie Saab, a designer and a brand that fits naturally within the context of extreme luxury… A design project of this nature enables the couturier to express the universe of Elie Saab in the form of interior design and the art of living”– Donald Potard explains for WEYVES COUTURE
    I too, am delighted!

    *kisses*

    Virtual French Excellence Week

Sometimes I think the French know something about life that we don’t.  French toast, french kiss, french manicures… and then there’s more!  Remember the last season when Carrie goes with Petrovsky to Paris but it’s nothing but dog poo on Manolos and heartache.  Ouch… Places and things, we always attach fantasy and assumptions about them. Is that a good thing? I guess – but out of my travels, I have this to say – a place is just a place. If you have globe trotted as much as I have, you can attest to what I am saying. The most important thing is where your friends and those you love are.  Don’t let geography dictate how you dress, how you think or your ability to fall in love.  There are unstylish people in New York, heart breaks in Paris, lackluster spirits Shanghai and dream crushers in Toronto.  When you know who you are, define your style and live your passion – trust me, somethings do translate!

Sexy Rock n Roll + Christian Audigier

Christian Audigier was born in southern France in the city of Avignon. From the beginning, he was drawn to the rock and roll style. He wanted to follow in the footsteps of Mick Jagger, but lacked the singing voice. Christian then moved into fashion, building the impressive portfolio you see today

Ultra Supper Club cleared the tables and put in a runway for Christian Audigier‘s glitterly LA Rocker Glam. The show was amazing, the models had tons of attitude and the classic rock music made feet dance and blood pump! In the sea of satin and platinum blondes, I was able to find a few fashionistas with true style and rhythm of their own!

Details matter! Not everyone will notice – but the few that do, are truly impressed, inspired and loving it!
