    It’s DK ALL DAY

    Jelly

Droppin Knowledge have consistently treated us to some good hip hop… or rather good music period. The August installment of Droppin’ Knowledge took place this past Friday, at the Rivoli; and it was LIVE.

    #TeamTooFly

Jelly, 88 Days of Fortune, Jake Bluez, P.Harris + Switch B aka ‘Toronto Stars’; all gave us some serious musical goodness, and totally left me wanting more.

    watch part two here

There was a good amount of boppin’, smiling, laughing, singing along, sprinkled with several moments of awe. It’s safe to say everybody had a good time.

    watch part one here

Even though I couldn’t get ‘down’ as much as I wanted to, cause I had to keep the camera steady; I had an awesome time regardless. Moments like these make me feel proud, and even privileged to live in a city that offers music like this…and it’s right at my door step! Toronto Yes.

It was definitely a sight to see people doing what they love to do, and having fun while they’re doing it!  A big THANK YOU to Droppin’ Knowledge for delivering more than what they promised, and to all the artists for giving their 100% and giving us a great show.

    peace and love

    #NP ~ Teedra Moses

I should’ve said… “MS. Teedra Moses”… because she deserves the title! This woman’s voice is beyond hypnotic, beyond soulful… its what I love to call ‘real music’; feels like the music I was raised on. That is meant with the utmost accolade. Her newest track came into my view when my boy Harold posted it to his wall and it flowed through my facebook newsfeed! Thank you social media! “R U 4 Real” is on a heavy rotation right now… here is is… press play

    … then re-play. xo

    The Pretty Reckless

So I am currently OBSESSED with The Pretty Reckless. An edgy rock band out of New York. You may or may not have heard their single released last May “Make Me Wanna Die” from their debut album “Light Me Up.” Lead singer of the band is Taylor Momsen. YES, Jenny Humphrey from Gossip Girl. Momsen worked with a few producers before settling with current rock producer (opposed to all the other pop producers she was fixed up with.) The Interscope Records artist went through a few band members until she found the ones she is with now.

The album release in the US and around the world was accepted with mixed reviews but I happen to love it. I had no idea when I heard a few songs previously that it was Taylor Momsen doing the vocals and guitar as well. I love the edgy, heavy sound they have. Check them out if you haven’t already!

    xo, June 🙂

    Ms… JessieJ

If you haven’t caught a glimps of this woman yet… Whereeeeee have you been???! Lol! But honestly though, my homegirl @nerdzandcocoa put me on to JessieJ back in October and ever since its been #LOVE! Click HERE for the first track I fell for, Do It Like A Dude and be sure to check out her newest single, Price Tag feat. B.O.B. How one could resist loving her is beyond me… she’s so down in a way that’s creatively her own.

Pushing limits in fashion, appearance & musical content… #GirlCrush much?

    Music eh! The Junction

    It’s time…for…Music…ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Melissa from audioblood media was kind enough to share some news with me about one of their bands, The Junction; and now I must share it with you. The band is set to embark on an eastern Canadian tour, and recently premiered their new video onAUX TV for their third single “Level With Me” which comes off their album Another Link in the Chain. The video was directed by Davin Black, and has already been added to Much Music and Much More Music.

    These guys… SERIOUS skills.

I’ve listened to “Level With Me” and watched the video a number of times already, and I got that tingly feeling. I like the song so much that when it comes to an end, I think it happened too quickly… Anyway the video is so fun, and the song just makes you feel so good you can’t help but sing along. If you haven’t already watched it, you need to do so now. Trust me.
I think The Junction were the perfect choice for the first Music eh! What do you guys think?
Wishing the band all the best on their tour!
    peace, love and health
