Running Thru the 6 with my.. Lincoln MKC!

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

I learned to drive with a Mercury Villager Minivan so big cars never scare me!  My car ownership experience is limited (only my little black car for a year in LA) but I have driven all kinds. I was so lucky to experience the Lincoln MKC recently to Toronto and I have to give it 5 stars!

The Lincoln MXC has handsfree opening and closing trunk feature. Just place your foot under the bumper snd swipe from right to left

It came with all the bells and whistles without being overwhelming. It was comfortable to drive, easy to navigate and gave me a premium luxury feel. People actually rolled down their windows at stop lights to tell me how beautiful the car is. How often does that happen? If you are driving a Lincoln MKC, it will happen a lot!

One of the best features is the GPS SYNC Nav. It is easy to use. All you have to do is input the address of your destination while your car is in PARK position and it will lead you that way. It even observes traffic laws, construction, closed roads and alternate routes.

The moonroof is a cool attribute to let in the sun and give you a really open feel while driving. If you are ever in a dark place like an underground parking lot or even at night, once you hit the unlock, the keyhole is light up an also a ‘Lincoln” logo is projected on to the ground. All of these details contribute to the car’s luxury feel and over all beauty.

The Lincoln MKC is available in an array of colors but this red is just stunning!

Adidas #Supercolor Superfail!

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

I got the Adidas Supercolor with so much anticipation! It is a cool original superstar in 50 awesome colors. I woke up early and got the pumpkin color. I was so excited to get them and when they arrived a few days later, I realized it was a superfail for so many reasons.

Superfail reasons:

#1 They cracked the 2nd time I wore them. The glue completely disconnected from the leather  and rubber

#2 The sales told me to get size 5 (I’m a size 6) and they were still huge and flopping around

#3 I got a shoe insoles and they were still big

I’m so sad about this experience…

VIM & VIGR: Great Socks to Combat Cankles

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

At one point or another we have all faced the dreaded “cankle” after long hours traveling without moving much. This unfortunate feeling and looking lower leg swelling is due to the restriction of blood circulation in the legs and feet. VIM & VIGR, a line of high-quality compression socks for men and women, works to combat cankles and the detriments of poor blood circulation that is common during travel.

As a result of the inactivity during travel, position of legs while seated, low pressure, dehydration, and low humidity, many people feel that their legs are heavy, swollen, achy, and in risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a condition where blood clots form in the veins.

By utilizing VIM & VIGR’s advanced Gradient Pressure™ knitting technology, these innovative compression socks improve circulation and alleviate aching, prevent and reduce spider and varicose veins, and leg swelling. These fashionable socks engineered to energize your legs every step of the way are available in a variety of designs and fabric choices. They are a must-have travel item which allows the blood in your feet to gently get re-circulated back up your legs towards your heart to then be re-oxygenated.

My friend Johann did the Brooklyn 1/2 and wore the socks while running/training! He gave them 5 stars!

Compression socks are proven to provide relief and increase comfort throughout the day – espcecially during long travel periods. VIM & VIGR has recently been featured in The New York Times, Redbook, Triathlete, and Pregnancy & Newborn.

Since he is the person I know most passionate about socks with great design and function, I trust his review :)

Florida “Dadpreneur” Showing Product at New York Baby Show

While there is nothing like the Beebo on the market today, it is something almost every new parent has dreamed about. I don’t know a parent who hasn’t tried the bottle under the chin maneuver because we dropped the remote or needed to answer the phone.

And that’s how Florida resident Martin Hill got the idea. The thought came to him with his first child, now six-years-old. But after re-living the same problems during the multiple daily feedings with his son, now four, the former electrical engineer set to his garage to create a solution because he couldn’t find one that already existed.

He even made his first prototype by carving through foam and searching for the perfect BlackBerry belt clip case to rotate the Beebo as needed.

The Beebo is designed for left or right hand users and the bottle holder is soft and flexible to fit the majority of bottles on the market. At first, it was Martin’s way of multi-tasking, then it turned into a way to spend quality time with his son by reading to him while he was feeding him.
