Fuss-free and silky smooth with @Veet Natural Inspirations

I received an awesome package full of Veet goodies last week, and with summer well on it’s a way (a girl can dream), I couldn’t think of a better time to receive them! Veet recently released their Veet Natural Inspirations line and I couldn’t wait to try it. They also have a facial hair removal cream, which I think is AWESOME, cause sometimes I can’t always make it to the salon to get the necessities done, so if I can do it by myself in-between waxes/threads, that’s even better!

Pros: So far I’ve only used the Hair Removal Cream which is enriched with Grape Seed and Avocado oil. It left my skin feeling silky smooth and I didn’t have to use it again for another 3 weeks! It’s quick, easy and painless so for all my ladies who like to be silky smooth without the pain of waxing and/or threading, problem solved! Practically odourless: I usually stay away from hair removal creams as they have a strong odour, but Veet really came through with this Naturals line, you can barely smell it: I have super sensitive skin, and normally have an immediate eczema flare up after using hair removal products, but so far so very GOOD!

Cons: So far I’ve only used the hair removal cream on my legs, and I haven’t had any negative side effects.

@ObeyClothing Fall/Winter 2014 Preview

Up until recently I’ve always thought that Obey Clothing was just menswear, and was pleasantly surprised when I attended the Obey Fall/Winter 2014 Media Preview and found that they have an extensive offering of womenswear. If it hadn’t been for my phone dying right when I got to the event, I would have flooded the world of social media with loads of Instagram pics and tweets of all the awesome pieces that were on display! Floral jackets and duffle bags, the softest (and cutest) tees and crop tops, printed shift dresses and drop crotch pants and of course classic Obey hoodies, crew necks, and accessories. I even found myself lusting after several pieces in the mens collection!

Celebrating Mom at #roimomday @roirelations

Who believes Mom’s should be celebrated everyday of the year?? I do! We recently celebrated Mother’s Day at the third annual ROI Mother’s Day event. It was an indoor picnic with a Parisian theme; there were pretty flowers everywhere, delicious desserts , pink bubbly, a manicure station, a plate and flower crown making station, and so much more! This Mother’s Day event was especially special as ROI founders Delphine Nicholls and Sam Diamond  were both first time Mommies (they gave birth two days apart!) This was also the first time that ROI committed to featuring local, female entrepreneur vendors and sponsors, such as Crowns by Caleigh and Recreative Works by Renee Elliott.

They also worked with the charity Dress For Success Toronto, by accepting donations of gently used, professional clothing and unused hygienic/makeup products; in order to make it easier for disadvantaged women to join the workforce and showcase their self-confidence and economic independence.
