OP ED – Google Pixel Live Case: The Good, Bad and Terrible.

Google. I do love you, I really do. But something that I DON’T love is faulty products.
Of course, I don’t want to be part of the problem. If anything, I want to alleviate the pressure you’re already feeling from a few people who have had the same problem as I do. But this does need to be addressed.

Lets talk about the Google Pixel Live Case. The concept of the Live Case is great. You can literally place any sort of design on it. It could be a photo, a map of your favorite city, and what’s great is that it will also transform your wallpaper as well. It’s the best of both worlds.  The price can be a bit steep, but it transforms your phone case into an interactive art piece.

It took almost 3 weeks to get to my place.

I ordered mine around the end of October, and didn’t receive it until 3 weeks later. It wasn’t exactly as what I planned, but I was still excited to try it out anyway. The case itself looked great. I was excited to place it on my phone and see the Live Wallpaper come to life. But before that, I had to download the Live Case App, turn on NFC, then finally press on the back button…

Its cute!

And realize that it wasn’t working.

I was confused at first. I thought I got all of the steps down. I even reinstalled the application, but it didn’t do anything. I even checked around various forums to see if I didn’t know what I was doing. So from my confusion, turned to anger as I realized that this product wasn’t working and I couldn’t do anything about it.

My gripe with the Google Pixel Live Case is this: If it was going to take almost 3 weeks to ship it to me, at least make sure the product works. You guys made an amazing phone, and I appreciate it a lot. But I want to make sure it has a great case that’s accompanied by it.
