Last week I was so lucky to attend the Purina Better with Pets Seminar. The line up of speakers talked about all facets of lifestyle and how pets improve our well being. Purina Hosts First-Ever Better With Pets Summit to Showcase Positive Relationships Between People and Pets Daylong event featured 16 dynamic speakers and presenters, including animal welfare advocate Beth Stern, Veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian
The event was held in New York City and featured 16 speakers, including academics, pet behavior experts, performance artists and scientists. My favorite by far was Dr. Arleigh Reynolds who spoke about this dogs in Alaska. He spoke about training, breeding, exercising and diet for his champion racing dogs. It was so touching to see how this vet’s research project turn into a heartwarming and incredible story for his whole family and Alaska.
The venue was filled with various journalist, pet media and bloggers.

Music Lovers Must Have: Ask Santa for @FlipsAudio Headphones

The headphones are studio sized cans that can collapse on either side of each arm (allowing you to store them easier.) The material of the headphones that rests on your ears is of noticeably good quality and seems to be very durable. The headphones fit very comfortably on and have a good sound as well. The volume adjusts high enough to drown out all sound around you.
The best part now….when you flip both headphones outward while you have them around your neck, the volume automatically turns up and they turn into travel speakers. The travel speaker battery can be charged by connecting the headphones with a USB on your computer. The portable speaker is louder than I imagined and filled up my living room enough sound to comfortably listen to. These headphones will be a nice companion while traveling, I can see them coming in handy on a plane, in a hotel room or while out at the beach…with the headphones on sometimes and the portable speaker mode on sometimes. Trends Tour with @Ford
Had such a fun week exploring NYC with my friends from Ford on their Trends Tour 2014.
It started with visiting the cool ‘magazine’ style store called Story for their “Home for the Holidays” edition. Everything was too adorable!
Then the next stop we went to is Charity : Water and heard the incredible details on how so many people are in need of clean water and what we can do to help.
Then we stopped by Blinded Barber to see the emergence of old school vintage chic stores that are reinventing the past in a really relevant way for the neighborhood.
