    About OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS

Founded in New York City in 2004, OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS started out as a trade secret: a pro-only range of products available only at the most exclusive industry-only Professional Makeup emporiums. In a time when many cosmetic companies make the claim that their products are “Cruelty Free” simply because Animal Testing has become unfashionable and less cost-effective, OCC felt it was necessary to raise the bar on this issue. We pledge never to use animal-derived ingredients (including Lanolin, Beeswax, Carmine and more) in our products and accessories. Founder David Klasfeld is still directly involved in the formulation of all new products and as a makeup artist himself is sure to always bring the latest trends in colour to the market.   www.occmakeup.com

  • My Dog Jacob,  New York

    Puppy Sitter @GetWaggit

What a great concept! I am always moving to new apartments and making friends with other dog owners in the neighborhood. Now with waggit – I am make even more dog friends. YAY!

It’s the Holiday Season and that means travel. Thanksgiving is over but Christmas and New Years are right around the corner. For dog owners, traveling doesn’t just include planes, trains, and automobiles but also kennels, sitters, and walkers. In New York, a reputable kennel can cost upwards of $60 a night, and professional pet sitters can be even more expensive.  That can mean an additional expense of $180 or more! But there is an alternative. Instead of dropping off your beloved pet at a kennel or begging your friends to help out, there’s a new online community that let’s pet parents connect with people in their New York neighborhood and exchange dog sitting favors. It’s called Waggit.

Waggit helps pet owners save money while building a network of local friends.  It’s free to join and is a great alternative to paying for costly professional services or boarding your pet.  Even if you don’t need a dog sitter, use Waggit to spot familiar faces from the dog park and break the ice to set up doggie play dates, arrange a shared dog walker or offer up day care.

Waggit, founded by Audrey Tan, is a NYC based tech startup and overall winner of the Nov 2011 Startup Weekend competition.  Thank you Audrey!! 🙂

    Winter Giveaway: @FixMySkin Balms

A healing balm with 1% Hydrocortisone to treat dry skin, chapped lips, psoriasis, insect bites, eczema and more. I was so excited to try this new product called Fix My Skin because that exactly what it does. I am such a picker when it comes to my skin and I always end up with some some scratches, dry skin or chapped lips. The 1% that is magic is the hydro-cortisone  The combination of the waxes and hydro-cortisone makes it convenient and does not melt. It comes in a very faint vanilla and also flavorless.

If you want to try one of these, send a tweet @heydoyou saying hook me up with @fixmyskin

Winners will be announce Dec 17! Good luck 🙂
