    Long Hair..Don’t Care…

Tonight I did one of the most drastic things-I’ve cut my hair the shortest it has ever been. Before tonight, I had some pretty long locks that landed just above my waistline.

    Like this…

But as a summer of new beginnings and new experiences rolled in, it was time for some change. I decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love and go for a shorter…more sophisticated look. At least, that’s what I hope it looks like.

So to new hair, new new, and fun new styles/looks I’ll be able to do now 🙂

A little snip it about Locks of Love for those of you who might not know: It is a non profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long term medical hair loss for any disease!

It couldn’t feel any better knowing it’s all going to a great cause!

Stuck on Weldbond: D.I.Y FUN Pt. One

I was recently bitten by the D.I.Y bug, after receiving a tube of WeldBond glue. Once I saw Mo’s “The Fabric Treatment” post a couple of months ago, I was totally inspired, so it was only a matter of time before I tried it out.

So I took to a simple pair of black wedges, cut up some spare fabric, and got to glueing! I have to admit, I was worried that I’d make a total mess, ruin my shoes, and waste my fabric, but it turned out pretty good. I love that WeldBond dries clear, and the best part about it (apart from it’s glueing capabilities lol), it’s non-toxic, so I didn’t have to worry about getting dizzy from the fumes that most glues have.

This is the completed first shoe. I just started the second shoe, and I’m very happy with the results so far 🙂

    What do you think?

    peace and love

    Kicking it with @Palladium_Boots

I have been looking for the perfect summer shoe that can take the heat, the Brooklyn streets and have the style and comfort I want.  I know everyone is lusting for the wedge sneakers lately but I had something else in mind.  Let me introduce you to the Palladium Slim Chukka.

This is the off white + pool blue colorway and (they also come in black + pool blue as well)

These leather sneakers look so cute because of their jute (a glossy fiber like burlap) espadrille-style foxing (looks like brown spots on old paper). But what makes the Chukka Slims so special is the Repreve ® certified recycled yarn is used to weave the Dri-Lex ® lining that wicks moisture and keeps the feet dry – very very necessary for summer days, no stinky toes!  I can’t wait to wear these with my favorite cut off shorts and dresses.

They are SO adorable – You really can’t ask for a more low profile sneaker that goes with everything!
