@GossipGirl Recap: Memoirs of An Invisible Dan

Looks like someone isn’t so invisible after all. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) tells his friends about the book and pretty much everyone except Blair is happy about it. Skip back a few episodes to when prince Louis killed the story that was planned to be published in Vanity Fair, Blair (Leighton Meester) had the idea that she was the wicked witch in this tale. But it looks like things might be coming true at the end when Blair and Dan kiss again. Is Dan seriously getting in this late in the game? It’s a little too hard to believe.

Prince Louis and Blair had planned to tell their families and friends about the baby, but it all gets pushed aside due to Dan’s book launch. Louis reads that they hook up in the book and completely loses trust in her fiance. It’s so funny how Blair can be so in love with this guy and yet still be so shady about everything. But that’s why we love Blair so much! “She will always have her secrets. She can’t exist without them.”

Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) still thinks Dan only thinks the world of her until she realizes she’s been portrayed as a shallow party girl. She confronts Dan, saying her career is on the line with all these facts about her dangerous past. Blair’s kiss must be electrifying because all Dan can think about is fixing things with her and totally punks Serena off. “If you can’t tell the difference between what I did to Blair and what i did to you then maybe your portrayal in the book is more accurate than I thought.”

Serena’s boss wants the rights to the book, Chuck finally begins repenting his loss for Blair, Charlie joins Nate on the scandal magazine and Dan scratches off his friends and family from all his future book events. Lonely boy is officially ‘Only boy.’ The only happy ending still standing (barely) is Blair and her prince charming.

Lise Watier Havana All Over Baked Bronzer Review

I received @LiseWatier’s Havana All Over Baked Bronzer a few months ago to try along with a bunch of other goodies and I must say this is actually one of my favs. I own lots of bronzers so I tend to hop from product to product depending on my mood and usually whatever worked best for me the day before (hence, bad makeup day=next product) but I always circle back to products I like. I’ve been using this bronzer for a solid 2 months now (realllly long time for me). It’s really pigmented which I like. I’ve lots of bronzers and powders that don’t seem to show up no matter how many times I swipe my brush over it. I love that I don’t get the bronzer dust everywhere, you know the powder that collects on your product from swiping your brush back and forth… most likely because it’s baked so it’s super compact, unlike a normal powder. Also, this bronzer doesn’t give my face that “dirty” or “muddy” look that some bronzers do. The shimmery cream, pink, and brown swirls give me just the right amount of color without being too shimmery, orangey, or brown. It’s literally a bronzer, giving you a bronzed look.

    wearing it as my contour

I use this product daily to contour my face and I have yet to encounter problems with it. The way I have found that works best for me is to apply it with an angled contour brush right under my cheek bones then blend towards the hair line and upwards (to give my cheeks a little color) with a brush like the All Over Face Brush from Bare Essentials. Apply some highlighter right above my cheekbones and I’m set.

.71 oz of product compared to the .30-40 in most bronzers

I will NEVER leave my house with cheekbones chiseled since I have such a round face. In my opinion, a complete face isn’t really complete until you’ve contoured your face so a good bronzer is a staple item in my stash. If you’re in the market for a new bronzer I definitely recommend the Lise Watier Havana All Over Baked Bronzer. I can actually say I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this product. In fact, if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck this would be it. For $35 you get SO much product. Since its baked it’s got a dome-like shape so it’s not like its in a thin pan. I’ve been using this product daily and I’ve barely flattened the top of it. Try it and let me know what you think 🙂

I checked Naimie’s website and I didn’t see it there so I think you can only get it on the Lise Watier website. Check out their other fab products too!

    xo, June 🙂

    ‘032 The Canadian Affair

Last week, I had seen this short film that was created by The Departement, it explores moments in a woman’s life. The film is presented beautifully with all the cinematography. The amazing soundtrack is by The Good The Bad.

Got to love Canadian art. Eh!

    much love,  @itstanyag
