Quentin Tarantino gets "BASTERDIZED"!!
This afternoon I attended the live taping of MTV Live, with Quentin Tarantino! It was my first MTV Live show, and I’ve lived here for about 5 years now, so I was uh… REALLY EXCITED!
The legendary director dropped by MTV to promote the release of his upcoming film Inglourious Basterds, as well as to announce the winner of the MTV Live “basterdized” parodies; and he came with actor Eli Roth, who plays “basterd” Sgt. Donnie Donowitz.
One of the paparazzi’s almost knocked me down as I was trying to take my pic, so Quentin Tarantino posed quickly as his bodyguard rushed him into the S.U.V.

Inglourious Basterds is set in the midst of WW2 Paris. Brad Pitt stars as Aldo Raine; a man who rallies a squad of ruthless U.S. soldiers known as the “basterds”, to perform shocking acts of retribution on the enemy… Their mission? “One thang, and one thang only, killing Nazis!”
Quentin Tarantino is one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his generation. He has a number of critically acclaimed films under his belt, for example: Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and of course the famous Kill Bill.
MTV LIVE, in conjunction with Alliance Films recruited film buffs, as well as anybody who “had the balls”, wit, and genius to win the Inglourious Basterds contest. Over 100 impressive/hilarious spoofs were submitted of “basterdized” versions of favourite scenes from Tarantino flicks. The winners won a Toshiba home entertainment package and also gets to attend the Toronto permiere of the movie.
Three MTV Live “basterdized” parodies were created to inspire contest hopefuls, and can viewed on demand on mtv.ca.
