Word on the street is that this is your new summer DRANK. Jet Set girls all over the world are ordering the one x cocktails. What do you know, the Goose and the Bel are head to head once again. The site is dope and Kanye hearts it. The first bottles of Belvedere IX (pronounce “One X”), Belvedere’s new vodka with 9 ingredients: guarana, ginger, jasmin, ginseng and cinnamon… and its bottle designed by André… + and it’s 50%.
These are the magical ingredients for a fun night. Why? Let’s see…
guarana = energy
ginger = anti-nauseate
jasmin = reduce stress
ginseng = improve stamina
cinnamon = improves memory
I think you can see where this is going…
Street art collabs = dope.

I am so excited to be going back to school this July. I graduated from UWO (party school! woo!) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in African&Asian Literature Major and a Media minor. Then Humber College for Graphic Design & Advertising. I started my career in experiential marketing, then into word of mouth, then into social media marketing. As a lover of ‘culture’ both past and present, I know that I am always learning about ‘pop culture’ and shaping ‘pop culture’ concurrently. Through the last 5 years, I have really carved out a niche for myself in this industry – Everything trendy, street fashion, creative beauty products and powerful fragrance campaigns. Connecting brands to consumers in a real way using technology, genuine word of mouth and experience to build loyalty.
This July, I will be starting a Professional Designation program in Beauty Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Merchandise and Design in Los Angeles, California. It is a 12-month long intensive program and I cannot wait to start (thus the countdown ->)!
Got a very special package this morning…
In anticipation for my back-to-school mode, Brooklyn based FI-HI sent me their amazing “Pimpin’ Gold” backpack! THANK YOU. I absolutely remember seeing them at MAGIC last summer and drooling over everything + their business cards!
FI-HI bags have a built-in 3-watt stereo amplifier and water resistant speakers. Surfing, beach, Malibu – hello! There’s been a huge buzz for FI-HI bags since they were showcased at the CTIA Wireless convention. So excited and so perfect for me. Talk about a soundtrack for this thing called life.
Check it out:
Works with any Mp3 player, cellphone, Blackberry with a 3.5mm stereo mini jack
Cute!! Mini cassette details on the heavy duty zippers
And… there’s a static free sleeve for my laptop aka netbook
^_^ so happy.
There is always in influx of students and young people traveling to Toronto with Holiday Work Visas. With their travels, they bring fresh trends, new cultural learnings and a few international slangs. At the Hello Kitty x MAC party, I met Mayuu and her crew’s style is just fly. Check it out:
Check them out on http://www.myspace.com/solrom
AND… If you want to get out of Toronto and see what you have to offer the world, pick up a SWAP Working Holiday booklet at any Travel Cuts. This is a great alternative to those who want to travel but do not necessary go the ‘teach English’ route. According to their brochure, 84% of SWAPPERS find work within 7 days of arrival of their destination. If you haven’t been able to find work in Toronto for a while, maybe a change of L”attitude” will do you some good.
This program is available to Canadians 18-35.
Imagine traveling + working in:
UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Japan, China, Brazil, South Africa, Thailand
