Jessica is a sexologist registered with the American College of Sexologists and is currently working to complete her Ph.D. research in the field. As an educator with a B.Ed. and B.A. from the University of Toronto in Sexual Diversity Studies, Jessica views sex education as a lifelong process that addresses cognitive, affective and behavioural aspects of sexuality. She has completed the human sexuality program at the doctoral level through the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. Her training includes courses in counselling skills, resolving sexual concerns, sex education, clinical sexology and erotology.

Jessica has worked as a Sexual Health and Peer Counsellor and genuinely cares about client comfort, education and results. She has extensive experience developing and delivering programs that address sexual health, sexual orientation, gender, safer sex, personal sexual enrichment, sex and popular culture and pleasure enhancement.

I am so excited to be going back to school this July. I graduated from UWO (party school! woo!) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in African&Asian Literature Major and a Media minor. Then Humber College for Graphic Design & Advertising. I started my career in experiential marketing, then into word of mouth, then into social media marketing. As a lover of ‘culture’ both past and present, I know that I am always learning about ‘pop culture’ and shaping ‘pop culture’ concurrently. Through the last 5 years, I have really carved out a niche for myself in this industry – Everything trendy, street fashion, creative beauty products and powerful fragrance campaigns. Connecting brands to consumers in a real way using technology, genuine word of mouth and experience to build loyalty.

This July, I will be starting a Professional Designation program in Beauty Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Merchandise and Design in Los Angeles, California. It is a 12-month long intensive program and I cannot wait to start (thus the countdown ->)!

This is a great alternative to those who want to travel but do not necessary go the ‘teach English’ route. If you haven’t been able to find work in Toronto for a while, maybe a change of L”attitude” will do you some good.

It’s no surprise that iconic fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana joined their competitors in the beauty bazaar; like Chanel, YSL and many more they have recognized that their skill in fashion can be used to design a line of fantastic cosmetics.

The line is inspired by the ‘Dolce & Gabbana woman’; glamorous and sensual while always confident, with a provocative edge and who better to be the face of the Marilyn Monroe-inspired ad campaign but the gorgeous and sultry… Scarlett Johansson.

The line offers items for face, eyes, lips and nails and range in price from $20 (for nail lacquer) to $59 (for pressed powder foundation). D&G Cosmetics was launched in the UK in February and is said to be found in North America this summer… soooo excited… ladies get ready!!!
